I must confess I'd never stayed in a Premier Inn before this one, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had thought of them as very cheap and basic, but actually there was really nothing wrong with it. A good sized and comfortable bedroom, helpful staff, and a good breakfast.
My only gripe is that the bathroom had "antibacterial hand gel". Antibacterial household cleaning products are evil. There is no evidence that they are good for your health, and actually some evidence that they may be bad for you. A real triumph of marketing hype over reality, and it's disappointing to see Premier Inn has bought into it.
But apart from that, the hotel was fine.More
