Fly fished here a few times now & always had an excellent day, there's some big fish in here to tempt you, also a smaller lake for kids to fish, great tackle shop with advice on flies, rods, clothing & techniques etc to try, also a brilliant cafe to get hot or cold food & drinks which is well appreciated.
Great time, every time !!!!!!

Fantastic day fishing at New Mills Trout Farm, including my personal best rainbow of close to 14 lbs :-) , and got snapped by something monstrous. This lake fished fantastically well, even in difficult wind conditions. Fantastic facilities too, couldn't be happier.

this is a lovely little place with lovely people who run it, with good facilities, but the fly pond is now in a state of being over fished, these stocked fish have most certainly seen every type of imitation fly and lure known to man and therefore very wise,so if you try it you will need something very different or special, catches have certainly dropped off over the last 12 months and some regulars and moving on.The fly pond has also been the victim of poachers which has maybe hit the stocks too, which is sad for the people trying to build and run a business.
Catch and release is £16 for 4 hours or £20 all day ,the first fish to keep if under the 6lb rule, which some may seem unfair, over 6lb has to go back in,so that way the owner keeps all the big ones !There is some big fish in there and obviously he wants to keep them, but a fish is a fish weather its 2lb or 10lb , so you will just have to make your own mind up about that one. if you want a good fishery langley dam is worth the extra miles, good luck and tight lines where ever you end up.
