“Lovely warm welcome”
Reviewed 8 May 2013

Nice room, fantastic views across countryside. Marilyn was a charming and genuinely friendly host, with lots of useful and interesting information about the area. After a long day's walking, the shower and big, comfy towels were much appreciated!

We stayed in the main B&B for one night while walking the Saints Way, although host Marilyn has self-catering cottages available for longer stays as well, which also looked great. The Farm's location in a lane a little way out of Withiel is very secluded and there are great walking trails all around, especially down in the fields by the river and ford area. We were the only guests so the house was lovely and quiet, but it is spacious enough that others wouldn't impact on you anyway. Decor throughout is very nice, with a big guests' lounge and separate dining room, and great outdoor patio areas too. Our room on the first floor was a good size, with a lovely view down over the valley. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was small but completely adequate. Everything was provided that you would expect from a high quality B&B, including tea and coffee making facilities in the room, nice biscuits and toiletries etc, although I couldn't get the wi-fi working again after the first successful login - seemed a bit flaky. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Host Marilyn was helpful and friendly, providing maps and advice for getting to places in the local area. All in all, a very pleasant short stay and thoroughly recommended.

I found Tregolls Farm to be perfect for a business trip I made to Cornwall. It was exceptionally peaceful, I was able to park outside my cottage front door, there was wireless internet and the owners were extremely helpful. I worked at a table with beautiful views over the countryside and was able to get a lot done!

Room Tip: Lovely views from Honeysuckle Cottage

Stayed at Tregolls for two nights with my partner and her son. Lovely farmhouse in an idyllic peaceful location and a very warm welcome from Marilyn and Lester. We stayed in a large family room with a double and a single bed - very comfortable and we all slept really well. Breakfasts were great with everything anybody could want and a superb start to the day. My partner's son enjoyed helping to feed the lambs, goats, chickens, rabbit and guinea pig in the morning. Highly recommended for anybody looking for a B&B in the Bodmin area.

We stayed for one night in this fabulous B&B. Its located in a beautiful area of the countryside with stunning views across the valley. No problems finding the place on satnav. We were very impressed with the look of the place on our drive in and there was a very warm welcome from Marilyn with an offer for tea or coffee as we arrived. They had a wealth of local knowledge and very generously let us borrow their maps to help us find places to eat in the evening. The room was warm and homely, spotlessly clean with a lovely added touch of a mini fridge and fresh milk. We were both impressed with the fantastic home cooked breakfast in the morning with cereals, toast and fresh fruit on the side. A wonderful bonus after breakfast was to spend time with the lambs and goats on the farm, giving Lester a hand feeding them. Lester and Marilyn were perfect hosts and we wish we could have stayed another night!

Like all the other reviews we found this farm B & B to be excellent and so peaceful and quiet. Marilyn and Lester let you share their fabulous farmhouse and you have your own room with everything you need supplied in you room. Great power showers and a mini fridge is a nice addition. The cooked breakfast is fantastic and enough to keep you going, along with fresh fruit, cereal and yoghurt. Although the farm is situated down narrow lanes it is in a great location for visiting the resorts of Padstow, Newquay and attractions like Eden and Heligan.
We found it lovely to return back to the farmhouse to relax after a busy day sightseeing.
They have self catering cottages too and they looked lovely too from the outside.

Room Tip: There are only two rooms, well at the time of our stay anyway. Both offering stunning views and sout...
