“A very pleasant stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2011

I found Bokiddick Farm via the visit cornwall site, The Farm is well placed being pretty much central to Cornwall, Padstow & Fowey are both a quick drive away, The Eden project being only 5 miles from the farm. The farm is easy to find when arriving in the day, at night I could see it being a bit harder! We were greeted by Gill Hugo with a very welcome pot of Tea & home made cake (a lovely touch). We had the ground floor garden room which has its own entrance door, it is a good size, decorated nicely & to a good standard. the queen size bed was very comfortable, Tea & coffee in the room along with fresh milk from the farm. The breakfast was lovely. Our host Gill was charming & a mine of information for any planned excursions.

Bokiddick Farm can be difficult to find (especially in the dark), but it is well worth the effort. Being situated well out in the country meant having to drive a bit to get to a restaurant (of which there appeared to be a number of good ones, with good directions helpfully provided by our host), but the location does have the benefit of being very quiet. We stayed in a recently-renovated old farm building, and the resulting room was a delight and extremely comfortable. There are pictures to show just how much work went into the extensive renovations. A very enjoyable breakfast was served in the adjacent main house in a lovely room overlooking the garden. Very good value.

We stayed in the luxury barn b/b, a beautiful restored granite barn, comfy bed, large room and large bathroom with a seprate bath and shower with complimentry toiletries.Gill our host is the most friendliest person I have met running a guest farm, really warm and welcoming, and we would recommend this farm to anyone, it is also in a good location for touring both coasts. The variety at breakfast was very good also.

This was the last port of call for us on a touring honeymoon. All we can say is that this was THE most fantastic place to stay and tour Cornwall. Gill was friendly and very approachable, and the attention to detail in the room was fantastic. The decor was cozy and comfortable. The room was spotless, and the breakfasts were wonderful. We can think of no better place to stay on our UK honeymoon, and reccomend this very highly.

Just returned from our first stay in this superb B&B in central Cornwall. We stayed in the luxury converted barn with super-king sized bed and lovely big bathroom. Lovely friendly welcome from Gill with tea and home made cake on arrival. I'm not a cake person but this was something not to miss out on!

We were referred to by a friend at the Eden Project (only 20 minutes car drive away). We stopped at PadStein for lunch very touristy if you like that sort of thing but glad to get out after lunch. We Tried the local cider at the Pandora Inn pub house in Penryn (worth a visit) and usual photo stop at Lands End.

The breakfast was fantastic start to each day with a great view of the garden and distant rolling countryside. My parrot find in garden was actually a Jay (tired long drive from Kent via Leicestershire!!!

This is certainly a gem of a place and Heather kindly showed us another property they have (doesn't matter which you will like). I can't recommend this place highly enough and agree with comment below - not a detail has been overlooked.

We stayed in the new Barn and greeted by the lovely Highland cows. It's a bit off the beaten track, but that's where farms are usually and worth it for sure with great views.

Definitely return for another peaceful luxurious stay at some point.

Stayed at Bokiddick Farm in early July 2009 and had a nice room in the new Barn. Lovely to arrive to slices of home-made cake, and the breakfasts each morning were delicious! It's a bit off the beaten track, but that's where farms are usually! Very peaceful with great views. Loved the Highland cows. We chose this B&B as it was close to friends who we were visiting, and we will definitely stay again when we return to this part of Cornwall.

Just returned from our second stay in this superb B&B in central Cornwall. We stayed in the luxury converted accommodation with superking sized bed and lovely big bathroom. Absolutely everything has been thought of, Bronley toiletries, fluffy towels and flannels, first class tea & coffee tray and even their own fresh milk in the fridge!

Lovely friendly welcome with tea and home made cake on arrival. Plenty of information of places of interest in the area (Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornish Cyder Farm, Carnglaze Slate Caverns etc) and suggestions of where to eat locally, together with sample menus. Lashings of aga cooked breakfast with endless toast and tea really set us up for the day.

Can't recommend this place highly enough - not a detail has been overlooked.

Can't wait to return for another peaceful luxurious stay.
