“Cosy pub, fab food!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014 via mobile

I was in Cornwall for business and staying at a chain hotel in Bodmin. My colleagues and I didn't want to eat at the hotel so a google search brought us to the St Kew Inn. It was a 10 mile trip from the hotel - but it was worth it!

The friendly staff were able to accommodate our table request and within 5 minutes of ordering a drink at the bar we were sat at our table. The pub has such a cosy feel to it and has been thoughtfully decorated. The menu, whilst not crammed with options, did have a very good selection and left me torn between a few items!! Sticking true to myself I went for the rump steak. It was quite possibly one of the best steaks I've ever had!! My colleagues both enjoyed their choices too.

Overall a lovely meal and atmosphere and glad we decided to make the trip there. We will surely be visiting again during one of our future trips to Cornwall.

“Kew for Quality”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

Visited for Sunday lunch. 2 course set meal £15. The pub is in a delightfully tucked away village and the garden area superb especially with warm weather. Had pork with some lovely veg accompaniments and a strawberry trifle which looked deceptively small at first but was actually very ample and absolutely delightful. Terrific value, great food and very attentive young team serving. Cannot fault at all and would totally recommend

“What a wonderful find”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Found this pub by accident on our way to St. Ives - thank you sat nav! We ate here twice in the week of our holiday and sampled the hake, mussels, mainated lamb and seafood mornay all of which were delicious. We shared a chocolate fudge cake on the one night ,as the portions were so generous we didnt have room for a pudding both times, it was sublime.

The staff were delightful and we really couldnt recommend this pub highly enough

“Excellent pub grub”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Enjoyed two excellent dinners here whilst staying in St Kew. Quaint old pub in a lovely setting at the bottom of a wooded valley with plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is favourable. Service was good without being in your face and the food was very tasty, old favourites ( fish and chips etc ) combining with more adventurous fare. The salt and peppered squid as a starter and the monkfish with chorizo and chickpea are both worth trying, to be recommended.
