Visited in the winter last year, back for summer visit. Spent an hour on bike trails ( great fun) and then a wander through the house and garden. All this followed by great orange drizzle cake in the cafe. Really good national trust visit. Helpful staff from the guy in the bike hire all the way through to the cafe. Thanks team

Lots to see here; the house is lovely and filled with the family's belongs and furniture and the gardens were in full bloom. Friendly and very well-informed docents were glad to answer questions and offer information. Lunch in the Stables Cafe was charming. A nice morning.

This house really is a cut above most National Trust Houses. It is beautifully furnished throughout, you can take (non-flash) photos anywhere, and there are extensive grounds to look around. Well worth a visit.
