Really enjoyed staying here and the staff were pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Only ate breakfast at the hotel but that was very good. Excellent golf course which was beautifully kept. It was nice to sit outside on the patio with a drink and watch the wildlife go by. The gym was very clean and well fitted out. The bar was very nice, but was taken over by a wedding party, which left us a bit isolated in a corner. It is well situated near to Lanhydrock House. Overall it was an enjoyable visit and we will be back.

We stayed for 2 nights. Very nice room (twin executive). The food was excellent and quite modestly priced. We had one dinner which was superb, one evening snack, one cream tea and two breakfasts during our stay. All excellent. The only downside to our stay was an invasion by a wedding party when we were enjoying a peaceful rest in the lounge watching football ..... but I'm guessing that wouldn't happen too often. Otherwise very enjoyable. It was about 30 mins from port Isaac (doc martin), 30 mins from the Eden project, 1.5 hrs down to lands end. We had some lovely drives.

Room Tip: We saw people sitting outside their rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the golf course and t...

I was treated to a weekend at this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to give a first class service. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were very good, with an excellent power shower. The views over the golf course were fantastic and so was waking up to the sound of the birds. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, the food was delicious and again the staff deferential, courteous and friendly. Although I am only a beginner we played golf. What a beautiful course, even to my novice eyes it looked immaculate and so picturesque.
My other 'better' half who is an experienced golfer loved the course the commented on how well kept it was. Thank you for a delightful weekend and we will definitely be back to stay again.

Embarrassing, couldnt complain grandpa was paying. Cheap factory bread, over cooked, solid cold chicken. Fish (& chips) looked like it had come from 'Iceland'. Expected better food particularly the bread.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your lunch with us. We pride ourselves in offering a thoughtful menu using local produce where ever possible. Our local fish supplier delivers a number of times throughout the week to ensure we have the freshest fish to offer from our kitchen. We very rarely receive negative feedback regarding any of our dining options whether it be a light lunch, special evening meal or banquet and are renowned locally for our very popular Cornish Sunday Carvery. We value our loyal local custom very much so we do hope that you and your family will return to Lanhydrock to dine again.

My husband and I have just returned from a very enjoyable four night stay at this lovely hotel. From booking to departure the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel facilities are excellent. There is no pool but there is a gym. We had a disabled room (No 23) which was spacious and the wet room bathroom was very practical. Views over the golf course are lovely from the room, restaurant and bar. There is a small patio area outside the room with a table and two chairs and on a warm day will be lovely to sit and watch the golfers and birds. The restaurant menu is not vast but there is an adequate choice and everything we ate was excellent - portions are generous. This was our first visit and I hope will not be the last.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the golf course are worth the premium. All rooms are quiet as the hotel lies back...

This was a suprise treat for my husbands birthday. Yet again everything was 5 star from the time we arrived till the time we left. The staff everyone of them go out off their way to give the best possible service they can. The golf course was also in pristeen condition, my husband remarked on how good it was up to his own golf clubs at the moment. What a shame that we were only staying for the one night, we stayed on the Spring break special which included cream tea, 3 course evening meal and a bootle of processco as well as Luxury room over looking golf course and a great breakfast (haddock and poached eggs) cooked to order.
Saving hard for next time, hope to stay longer next time. Thanks to all at Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club.

I stay in more than 220 hotel rooms a year sad I know. But when you actually come in to a hotel that has the wow factor it even makes me stand up and make note. Its not so much the location the facilities though they are brilliant. Its the staff the team since I arrived everyone has been world class. If you like attentive staff and quality service then you must stay at this hotel.
