Stayed in one of the cottages with husband and 2 year old daughter over easter. From arrival we were made more than welcome by Jenny and Clive. We were amazed how welcoming they were, from offering my daughter her first ride on billy first thing one morning to taking us round the lanes in the back of jasmines trap with poor Clive pedalling like made to encourage her to get going!! Very surreal experience but fun all the same!! The cottage was first class, couldn't fault it at all. We would definately go back again and highly recommend, especially if you have children up to the ages of about 8!!

Thank you for your lovely comments, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay. We've just been out on the cart with Jasmine, and without Clive to follow she was definitely slower!

Chark was the perfect place for us all to stay and to enjoy trips to the beach to canter along the sand trips to a local cross country course and rides up to Lanhydrock to canter up the avenue to the House. The scenery is breathtaking.

Chark is so peaceful none of us wanted to leave.

We spent a brilliant week at Chark Farm. The cottage was great with everything you need (milk, eggs from their chickens, coffee, tea on arrival). We enjoyed feeding the animals etc. Chark Fram is very well situated-close to the south and north coast. We walked along the coastal path from Boscastle to Tintagle Castle. Excellent views and the weather was fantastic. Visits to Fowey, Padstow, Lands End etc is a must. Even when it was a bit rainy and windy at some point, it was still worth it to spent some time outside as long as you are prepared. Also a stroll in the woodlands and Redmoor is highly recommended. We enjoyed the stay a lot and hope to come back one day.
Thanks to Jenny and Clive!

We had a fantastic week at Chark Farm and were sorry to leave! Even though the Autumn weather was a bit rainy and windy, we enjoyed our first holiday in Cornwall so much. The cottage was very comfy, cosy and well equipped and our daughter Imogen loved the mini ride on tractors and all the animals which we looked out on. She enjoyed going out for the morning feeding some days and collecting eggs for breakfast, and was even able to sit on Billy the miniature pony. At first she was a bit wary of the hens, runner ducks and lovely Fluffy (the pig), but by the end of the week she was running up to see them! I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing massage at the neighbouring Streigh Farm - thoroughly recommend Lorraine for any treatments (leaflet in cottage), very professional and a real holiday treat! The location of Chark Farm was perfect for getting out and about, with lots to see around Bodmin and just a short trip to the beautiful south and north coasts. We visited the pretty harbours of Fowey, Polperro and Padstow and our favourite day out was to Tintagel castle (excellent views!). On wetter days, we'd recommend the Shipwreck museum at Charlestown and Lanhydrock House - both excellent. Also Bodmin steam railway. The Eden Project was interesting but I don't think it's worth the full price (look for advance discounts online). Thank you for your hospitality Jenny; hope to be back some day!

Room Tip: We chose to ask for the cot in the double room and used the twin room ourselves with the beds zipped...

Thank you for your lovely comments. We're so glad you enjoyed your little girl's first holiday and would be delighted to welcome you back some time. Lorraine at Streigh Farm is always a good add on to a week at Chark. We love the photos! The animals send Imogen their love!

Warm welcome and a spotless cottage, with fresh eggs, cream, milk and biscuits on arrival. The cottage was very cosy and everything we needed was provided. Although we went as a couple, it is ideal for a family holiday with the numerous animals on site and the play area. Plenty to do in the surrounding area . It was one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

I cannot rate Chark Farm highly enough, we have been with the family a few times, and my children are always talking about it, and have happy memories there. The owners are fantastic and could not be more hospitable, nothing is too match. The accommodation is spotless, and the cottage are situation is perfect area of Cornwall. This place is a gem, and I could go on all day raving about it.

When I checked reviews before booking this place I couldn't find any that rated it less than excellent which seemed too good to be true, but it certainly was excellent!
The cottage was immaculate and beautifully presented. Jenny sorted cot, highchair, toys, safety gate etc for our toddler which saved us some luggage!
We all had a great time waking up the animals each day, enjoyed a horse and cart ride and tracker ride and tour round the dairy farm. Our toddler still remembers Billy the pony and Fluffy the pig. Jenny looked after us well.
We had amazing weather so had beach trips each day but the place is centrally located so short drives to a range of all weather activities across cornwall.
Loved it and will be back next year!
