Only stayed one night but was so impressed with this hotel. The location couldn't be better, right on the seafront with great views. The rooms were only £35 for a single (and you could choosse a double bed!) and the ones we were allocated were beautifully quiet on the ground floor at the back (rooms 1 and 2). The rooms were spotless, the beds sooo comfortable and the fan at the side of the bed a godsend.

The staff were happy, smiley and helpful and, whilst the breakfast was only ok for £7.50, it was the only aspect of our stay which was less than exceptional (oh, and there was the caberet singer who catered only for the large group of Welsh widows by singing really suspect songs by a Welsh singer we'd never heard of - David Alexander? Anyone?)

All in all, a very enjoyable stay and we'll defnitely go back again.

Stayed in rom 26. They rented it out knowing there is no hot water. Charged credit card already at check in. Bed stands on slope, if you open the windows you will hear the ventilation from the kitchen all night. Nothing for light sleepers. After calling reception in the morning to ask what happened to hot water he said he will send somebody up. After waiting went down again and took key of work mate and showered in his room. While downstairs met another guest with no hot water.
Absolutely disgusting to rent out room with no hot water for £70.
Not again.

Room Tip: Just don't go there

Stayed for 5 nights. The staff were all friendly, helpful, professional and always willing to assist you. Entertainment across the board, rooms very clean, good size, just like photos on website. What a brilliant experience in weston super mare and made better by our stay in the smiths hotel .

We booked this Hotel last minute using Booking.Com. We paid £70 per night for room only. The reason we chose it was because as my daughter and myself were holidaying alone without a car we had everything to hand as the Hotel is on the sea front. On arrival we booked in we were not asked about breakfast but decided not to have it anyway as it was way more expensive than everywhere else at £7.50 each. The room was very small we could just about get the two of us in it. It was clean I will say that with newly layed carpet. The bathroom was very basic. There was no soap for hand washing so we had to use shower gel. Who takes soap on holiday? No one. What does it cost to put a cheap bar of soap in a room? The shower was lethal went from freezing cold to scalding hot no matter what you did it was the same. My daughter and myself got trapped in the shower more than once as the door kept jamming on the bottom sliding rail. We were in room 23 the view from the room was the cooking vent from the kitchen and other people's windows. When we walked past other rooms they were so much nicer than ours. We didn't complain because we were only there 4 nights and didnt stay in the room much anyway

Room Tip: ask for sea view rooms they looked nice. Don't go in room 23!

Stopped for lunch outside with my 6 year old son after being told I would have to wait 45 minutes for lunch next door at the Old Colonial. Waiter was attentive, friendly and very engaging with my son, food was served at record speed and was delicious and excellent value for money. My son loved the whole experience. First class

My Fiancee and myself visited this Restaurant after a family members advice. The food was beautiful, and during our 3 day break last month. We used Smith's every day for either Lunch or Dinner. The staff are polite, kind and treat you with great respect.

I am surprised that the chef hasn't been head hunted, the food is of top draw. Great Pub Grub, and at a great price.
