A friendly booking and welcome. Beautiful building & furnishings - the images on their website are genuine, it really is that nice. Family-run sort of place run by a friendly Saffa and his local wife who both clearly work extremely long and hard to keep this place great. Food is well-cooked and served up timely; bed comfortable, as was room; water hot; well-decorated.

We stayed here for a 2 night break. This B & B looked very nice from the outside, however a tiny car park. The 2 lounges were well furnished, books & magazines were also supplied. The bedroom was basic, the bathroom in dire need of a re-furb, tiny also.
What let this B & B down was the total lack of atmosphere, apart from seeing the lady on reception when we first arrived, we did not see another member of staff, except the gentleman that serves you breakfast and he did not do chit chat!
Homely and welcoming it is not.
The worst part was, as previously mentioned, having a cat sit on the window sill behind us while we ate breakfast.

A bank holiday weekend and a chance to relax in ambient surroundings, that was the plan, the reality was far from it.
First, the good news, the premises were fresh and clean. The hotel boasts a guest car park and whilst this is true what they fail to mention is that they have 14 rooms and only 5 spaces ( it appeared as though 2 of these were taken up with staff parking!), one family said that they had to park in the next street.
Breakfast was an experience, 3 types of cereal and 2 fruit juices on offer, take my advice and fill up on these. The cooked portion was a single item of each food- 1 small sausage, 1 small rasher of bacon, 1 egg and ⅟₂ a tomato. On the plus side it tasted ok and was hot. Choice of tea or coffee, these came in a single portion pot, and toast- one round allocated to each guest and no offer of refills or more toast. I did not appreciate the presence of a cat wandering the dining room during meal time.
Staff are sadly lacking in customer care and basic people skills, this is one place that is not on my revisit list.
