We stayed here for a short weekend break booked the hotel 2 days before and had the last available room. Check is was fast, friendly and helpful. The decor was great, really loved the Faulty Towers pictures in reception and there is loads of local information on offer. We were told that our room was on the ground floor (which we had already been informed by laterooms.com) and there was some noise from the disco which is on until 2am every Fri and Sat night as the hotel is attached to the weatherspoons bar. We were also next to the lift. The room itself was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and spacious.Clean and modern facilities, flatscreen TV tea and coffee facilities and the bed was very comfy. There was surprisingly little noise from reception and we did not hear the lift at all. Free bottles of water was also a nice touch. Room was air conditioned as we were unable to open the window being on the ground floor. Overall I highly recommed the hotel, we were very impressed in comparison with some other "hotels" available in the town. The only issue was however the noise from the disco next door. It didnt bother us as we were informed of it and were out late both nights during our stay, however if you are looking for an early night then I would strongly suggest a room away from the disco think midnight is acceptable but 2 am a bit much especially as we were in the bar till late and it was practically empty and the music was very loud. We did find our room noisy early morning too as we could hear the staff coming in to start their shifts and it appeared the cleaners use the doorway outside our window to come and go.Higher floor would definatley be the best option. The hotel is part of the Cabot Court Weatherspoons and offers 20% off breakfast and you can access the bar via the hotel which was easy and the food and service was good.
The location is fab, short walking distance to a variety of bars and resturants and right on the seafront close to the Winer Gardens and Pier. There is no parking facilities at the hotel but we found a pay and display car park a short walk along the front which cost us £5.50 for 24 hours parking. There are a few multi storey car parks but they were further away. Overall really enjoyed our short stay, staff very friendly, helpful and rooms great just not for those looking for an early night on the weekend.
