Visiting museums is not what most people associate with visiting Weston. We have been going to Weston for about 20yrs and only in the last 2 years we've discovered the museum. It's great on a wet day to occupy a few hours. Our kids really like going here, as do we. There are lots of things to see in a well laid out and interesting way, all based on the locality and its past. The children like doing the free quiz which involves going around the museum looking for certain facts - really makes them take note of what is on show (also comes with a prize when you finish it which adds to their enjoyment!). There's a nice little coffee shop in the central cobbled street area also which is handy. Great value to get in - pay a few pounds for adults and children get in free. We highly rate this really traditional feeling little museum. Please keep it going Weston Council.

In all the years of visiting Weston I have never visited the museum before, so glad that I did it was very interesting.

Hadn't been to the museum for many years, and some of the displays seemed the same as I remembered it. Some of the upstairs was shut off when I visited which was a little disappointing.
Kind of a place where once you have had a good long around, there isn't really any need to rush back

Lots of things to do and see for toddlers to grandparents. Dressing up, nostalgic ephemera, slightly disturbing old arcade machines, Roman baby skeleton, nice cafe...

Loads of special activities in half terms and holidays, the staff and manager really make an effort and work late into the night to create exciting new exhibits. Due for an update next year so will be temporarily closing :-(

This is a little haven off the beaten track but near-ish to town. Its quiet and peaceful for a culpa and preserves the best of old Weston, especially the pier. Some of the stuffed animals look a little dusty these days, but children I have taken most love Clara's cottage.
