“a lot quieter”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Its a lot quieter here at sand bay, but a lovely mass of sand for the children to play in safety. Great walks to the end of the bay where you can get an ice cream (99 is £1.50)
Perfect area for those who enjoy a caravan holiday.

“Hidden gem of Weston-super-mare”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

Just a few minutes away from busy Weston is Sand Bay, easily visited on the open-topped buses taking the scenic route on the coast road. Incidentally the buses are fine with dogs. There isn't much there, but that's its charm. The Sand Bay Tea Rooms near to the bus terminus is welcoming and prepares lovely food (dogs are welcome), at the far end there are lovely walks and a car park visited by an ice cream van. At the town end is the Commodore Hotel which has recently started allowing dogs into its bar. The beach is totally dog-friendly and there are four free car parks along its length. Great place.

“Great bus trip”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

Catch the open-top bus - it's good fun to be bouncing along the narrow lanes in this, but you MUST go on the top deck for a good trip. - Pete & Jayne.

“Great place to walk and enjoy”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

We had a lovely walk on the beach and a rest in the dunes. If you are looking for a nice stretch of beach, this is it. We also enjoyed seeing the dogs run and play with their owners near the water. Just and enjoyable afternoon...

“good for dog walking”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

a good area to walk the dog, not much at sand bay to talk about, the beach seems to have more than its fair share of litter, best take a coat if you intend walking it, as it is often windy, sad to see the little tea rooms gone from the kewstoke road. council rates too high for small business.
