Had a great trip to Weston. Bay view apartment is lovely, couldn't have wished for more! & the view from there is lovely. Thank you so much, we look forward to booking again.
My wife and I have just returned from a week away in Weston Super Mare, Somerset. We stayed at 3a Highbury Road, Bay View Apartment. This fully self- contained apartment was ideal for the two of us, spacious, well-appointed very comfortable and with off road parking. The apartment has a separate living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath /shower room. The living room alone is very spacious with great views over the bay and Grand Pier. Included is a 42" TV with Freeview, a DVD player, full surround sound and full access Wi-Fi. The Kitchen is fully equipped roomy and comfortable, again giving views over the bay. The bathroom offers a deep bath with shower fitting and again is roomy. The bedroom is less accommodating having a double bed and a single bed which gives this a rather cramped feel, also a lack of curtains meant that the room was very bright despite facing away from the rising sun. The bed was very comfortable though and the room offers plenty on storage space. Overall, the Bay View Holiday Apartment was warm, comfortable and welcoming and we would certainly consider staying there again. On the downside, it is a good 10 - 15 minute walk from the town centre and up a very steep hill. The premises themselves are accessed from a flight of steps outside the building and then from the main door, a further flight of internal stairs to the actual apartment entrance. People with mobility issues should be aware of this and the climb up the hill from the sea front is a stiff one! The owners stocked the apartment with a range of beverages, milk, butter, bread, biscuits and so on which was very welcome, there is a small local general store a couple of minutes away down the hill but the nearest supermarket is approximately 10 minutes away by car and again, if on foot with groceries, be aware of the climb back up the hill! All in all though, a very pleasant stay in a lovely apartment. Some other things to be aware of if staying in Weston Super Mare, the town’s road system is poor for the volume of traffic, particularly along the sea front where at one point where three roads join, this causes very slow moving traffic, especially at peak times, immediately after this junction are multiple sets of pedestrian crossing points and a bus lane, the one-way traffic system is somewhat confusing and my wife and I could only assume that the town planners enjoyed the joke! The Grand Pier isn’t! It’s short, mostly closed when we were there, expensive and you have to pay to go onto the pier itself. If you want ice creams or fish and chips, it’s cheaper to leave, go into town then return by paying again to re-enter should you want to.

Excellent apartment ,amazing view, excellent facilites including tea coffee and hairdryer, all scrupulously clean, comfortable bed, spent a day in Weston.
As has been mentioned in all the other reviews, the view is wonderful & mesmerizing as the light changes with the time of day. It is a good thing that we no longer use rolls of film! We have been staying in Weston for a month to visit family & friends for the last 15, so our perspective may differ from short stay people.
The flat was clean & cozy, though in need of some TLC repairs which we understand from Richard, the owner, will be happening soon. Our biggest surprise was the lack of a washing machine since the amenities listed on Tripadvisor showed that there was a “dryer”. We were told when we arrived that it was meant to be ‘hair dryer’.
We were not impressed with the Night Storage Heating system over which we had no control & which put out heat during the day when the sun was warming the rooms & went cold in the early evenings when it was getting dark & was often windy & rainy.
Short stay people, especially during the summer would probably not notice either of the above issues.
One further comment is that the free WiFi works much better in the living room where the hub is located than in the kitchen with thick 1870’s walls between the hub & the device. This is typical for all houses of this age & construction.

Bay View is a nice apartment with a lovely big window in the lounge to take advantage of the view. Only a few minutes walk down into Weston. Thank you for a lovely weekend.
The apartment was superb, as others have said, with fantasic views from the lounge. This was our 40th wedding anniversary and we were looking for somewhere quiet to spend the weekend. This fitted the bill exactly and we had a lovely relaxing time.
Stayed for two nights, the apartment was so lovely! Amazing views, just the perfect weekend away apartment! Many thanks!
