Stayed here as a overnight treat to celebrate Bonfire night my other half.

What a good find this was... Owners were so welcoming, polite.and helpful.. Got welcomed with a lovely welcome pack which included, Red Wine,Danish Pasties,Yoghurts,Cereal,Biscuits etc.. Such a nice way to be welcomed.

Apartment was spotlessly clean, beds were really comfy, had the best sleep I have had in ages.

Really nice big bedrooms, nice lounge area, kitchen area which was fully equipt if you fancy doing a bit of your own cooking. Apartment was on a really quiet street and its really close to all the main attractions at Weston. I'll definitely be coming back for another weekend stay...

I highly recommend this place for anyway wanting a weekend break away..

I can only echo the reviews already on here, this is a truly wonderful place and the owners are very welcoming and not intrusive. We were left in peace with a fantastic welcome pack. There was a large tv and dvd player in the spacious lounge as well as tv's in each of the bedrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable with plump pillows. Extra fluffy towels were provided as were complimentary toiletries and the whole house was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped. The only ever so slight let down was the house was too cold in the night as we came back late and the heating had been switched off, however, we compensated with an extra blanket, also the shower is rather weak but that's to be expected located on top of a hill! Overall, our stay here was perfect and we will definetly be staying here again, no hesitation in recommending this lovely find to others.

My wife and I travelled to Weston for a weekend break and chose to stay at The Seafarers based upon the excellent reviews it has received. We were not disappointed.

We wanted a self-catering apartment and booked the one-bedroom apartment because we wanted a little extra space to unwind and relax.

The apartment was a little dated in terms of décor and the bath was very small but, in all other respects, I would go so far as to say it was perfect!

The apartment was absolutely spotless and consisted of a hallway leading to a small bathroom, a sizeable open-plan living area on the right and spacious bedroom on the left.

The bathroom contains a toilet, washbasin and proably the smallest bath I've ever seen! The bath is really more use as a shower but would not be useable by anyone with difficulty climbing in and out of a bath or anyone who loves a long soak in the bath and is taller than Ronnie Corbett! There is a shower fitting which is perfectly adequate. There were even some complimentary toiletries and loo roll which was a nice unexpected touch. Lovely soft and fluffy white towels were provided.

The living area is open plan and consists of a lounge area, dining area and side kitchen.

The living area has wonderful views of Weston bay and the Grand Pier. It has a two seater sofa and single armchair, both of which were exceptionally comfortable. There was a large screen LCD TV with freeview but no DVD.

The dining area has a table that would seat four and comfortable dining chairs. In the corner of this area was a freestanding fridge freezer which was ample size for a couple on a short break.

The kitchen was to the side of the lounge diner with microwave, oven, electric hob and extractor hood. There were plenty of cupboards and most utensils that might be required. One of the cupboards contained an iron and ironing board. There was even a DAB radio in the kitchen.

The bedroom was very large and contained plenty of storage space, a dressing table and a standard double bed. Whilst a king-sized bed would not fit in the room as it would be too long, I would have preferred a wider bed - perhaps a pair of singles joined together. This would also make the room a little more versatile.

Overall, the flat was lovely but the décor is starting to look a little dated and "tired". However, the soft furnishings, pictures on the wall and other homely touches meant you could easily overlook that.

Francesca is a very welcoming hostess - she is warm and friendly and very helpful in recommending places to visit, eat etc. We were provided with a welcome pack containing a rather nice bottle of wine, cereals, fruit, pastries, milk, jam, marmalade etc. Enough for a cup of tea, coffee, glass of wine on arrival and a nice breakfast.

The apartment is at the top of an Edwardian town house, so you have to climb a couple of flights of somewhat fearsome stairs so it is only suitable for those who are able to tackle stairs.

The house itself is a beautiful building in a picturesque part of town full of lovely Edwardian architecture but it is up a very steep hill meaning that walking to the seafront may only take 5 to 10 minutes but walking back may well take a fair bit longer as it is all uphill!

Parking is nigh-on impossible on the road outside the house but there is parking for guests in the family-owned Timbertops car park directly opposite the hotel on a first-come-first-served basis.

Overall, I would certainly recommend The Seafarers and would definitely stay there again if I was going to the area.

I booked one seafarers' apartment for my mother who came to visit me for one week. It was so nice, really you can feel like at home in this place. Lovely welcome pack, nice views to the Seafront, very quiet and beautiful place, everything very clean and you have a full kitchen for cooking by yourself. The owner is really friendly and she did our stay more confortable yet. Highly recommended! :D

We took our two year old to stay for a week at the Seafarers from the 3rd to the 10th August 2013.
We had originally booked a one bedroomed apartment at the Timbertop Aparthotel at 8, Victoria Park (the properties are owned by the same family) but upon arrival found we had been upgraded to the 2 bedroomed cottage at Seafarers, which was a great start to the holiday! This surprise was followed by a lovely welcome pack which included a bottle of wine, butters and jams, bread, millk, a selection of individual cereals and fruit. Washing up liquid, t-towels, washing up cloths, hand soap and a few dishwasher tablets were also provided.

There is use of wifi and a private car park included, which is very useful as the property is within a few minutes walk of the sea front.

This is a roomy cottage with one small double room (though still far more storage space than we could use) and a large twin bedroom which contained two wardrobes, two chests of drawers, a dressing table and still enough space to swing a couple of proverbial cats!

Both bedrooms had a digital TV and the 42 inch TV in the lounge, with DVD player and a selection of DVDs was a real treat! There was also plenty of space in the lounge with a 3-seater sofa and two comfy leather armchairs, coffee table and display cabinet containing a selection of paperbooks, ideal for holiday reading.
The kitchen was large and modern with a table and 4 chairs, a sideboard, lots of storage, a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and every imaginable cooking utensil.
Again the bathroom was a proper family bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. The shower was lovely and hot, though not a "power shower" (which is only to be expected as the house is at the top of a steep hill).
The whole house was spottlessly clean, which for me is really important as I have often arrived at holiday homes only to start cleaning! The decor in the lounge and bedrooms isn't bang up to date (I think decorated about 10 years ago) but I believe there are plans to reurbish in the near future.

The owners of The Seafarers have achieved the perfect balance of being friendly, chatty and available when needed but not at all invasive. We had use of the washing mahine and tumble dryer on request which meant that we didn't go home with piles of dirty washing, very handy with a toddler! There was also a patio area with table and chairs outside the cottage, ideal for us on sunny afternoons when our son was having a nap.
We were so impressed that we have already made a provisional booking to return at the same time next year, but for two weeks this time as we were so comfortable!

Weston itself is ideal for young families, with entertainment for all weathers, including the Pier, water park (£1.50/child for the day and some of the best scones I've ever tasted!) and the lovely flat seafront promenade. We spent several days on the lovely man-made marine lake beach as, unlike the main beach at Weston, the tide doesn't go out!

A few recommendations for food:
Very good breakfast for £5.50 at Cove West, which is on the seafront, just opposite The Old Thatched Cottage restaurant. Also, it's sister restaurant (the glass fronted building which can be seen from the marine lake) serves excellent food, including the "Mac bap" made famous by Hugh Fearnley-Wittingstall).We had 2 great meals and several ice creams at Tutto which is the rotundra restaurant in between the fountain and the Big Wheel on the seafront: excellent italian food and service at a reasonable price. And of course, no trip to Weston would be complete without a visit to Papa's on Waterloo Street for the best fish and chips in town. See separate reviews for more detail on each of these.

Room Tip: The cottage we stayed in was 12C, Victori

Loved it. Exceptional from start to finish. Warm welcome. Great starter pack - lovely surprise! This is a home from home. Was in the area with work and wanted more than a room in a B&B or hotel. Was allocated a flat at the top - roomy bedroom, homely living room, well equipped kitchen and snug bathroom! What more could you ask for - oh, sea views? Check! What a bonus! Definitely stay again!

Having stayed in many hotels with work, it was a pleasant change to stay at an affordable alternative offering self catering facilities with great accommodation and within easy reach of the town and sea front.
I found the owners of the Seafarers to be flexible and very accommodating with a good range of rooms to suit every need either for the long term or short break
I would recommend the Seafarers to anyone and hope to be back in the future.

Dear Mark - Thank you for your comments and review. It was a pleasure to meet you and provide accommodation for you whilst you were working in the area. We always try to offer value & comfort for the prices that we charge in this highly competitive market. As you know Seafarers is not the traditional B & B or hotel and we offer that extra bit of space and home comforts which makes life for those working away from home as comfy as possible. Hope to see you again one day.
