We chose this hotel because of the good reviews and it certainly lived up to what we had read. Our room, which overlooked the garden, was clean tidy and very modern, with a beach theme. I did feel that the beds were a little soft, but that is a personal preference and I slept fine. The bathroom was quite big and everything you needed was supplied. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the food was very good. The breakfast the following morning was excellent - one of the best cooked breakfasts we have had in a long time. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. An added bonus was the swimming pool. It was a really hot day and being able to cool down in there, was really good. All in all an excellent hotel at a very reasonable price. Don't hesitate to book.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the garden is very nice and access is under cover.

A spontaneous decision to get away from the heat with my 2 1/2 year old, no prior planning and no expectations. The hotel was absolutely lovely and the staff excellent. Room was great, service excellent and lots of attention to detail. The staff were very good with my toddler and very accomodating and she had her dinner served early and it was delicious. I had really lovely food in the restaurant for dinner, and the breakfast was absolutely superb. I will be going back and will recommend to friends. A real find.

Have just come back from a super couple of nights at the Beachlands hotel. It was a last minute decision to choose this hotel and it was definitely the right one. Was a little worried as usually book well in advance and always for an executive style room but there was only a standard available. As I was already set on this hotel, having scoured tripadvisor, decided to take the plunge and book, and what a good decision it was. The room was spacious and airy, newly decorated with a very comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe, drawer and cupboard space (I never travel light, always try and never succeed). Bathroom had bath/shower with good water pressure, although had to be careful as very hot water, but signs around to remind you, and lots of lovely little bath/shower/shampoo goodies for us ladies to try and big white fluffy towels. Good quality bedding, comfy mattress, king sized bed, and a decent sized telly. Both owners and staff were very welcoming and polite at all times, even though busy, and seemed happy in their work. Just a short walk to the lovely beach, although a lot further to the shops which, if like me, you have walking difficulties could be a problem. Fortunately they have their own knight in shining armour Donald the Diesel engine who will whip you from one end of the beach to the other for either £1.50 or £1 if old like me. Here you will find a lovely pier with a smashing ice cream parlour (tried and tested) and various amusements. The seafront also boasts a big wheel, swing chairs and walzers for those old enough to remember. But before setting off make sure that you sample one of the hotel's wonderful breakfasts, one of the biggest I have had in a long while with plenty of other choices if this did not suit you, you could even ask for extra bacon etc., if required. Everywhere seemed newly decorated with a good standard of furnishings and lovely little touches only ladies can appreciate. The garden was a joy to sit in whether around one of their big round tables or under the gazebo, where incidentally you could have your dinner if you asked nicely. They have a heated indoor pool and sauna on site should you wish to take advantage, we gave this a miss ourselves as it was hot enough outside without the sauna!!!. Also provided was free parking which in most holiday destinations in England is a godsend. All in all we had a really lovely few days in this great establishment and will try and return again in the future. Try this hotel yourselves and you won't be disappointed. Thanks to Beverley, Charles and all their lovely staff for making us feel very welcome indeed, even when my stupid husband managed to sneeze whilst holding a cup of tea and sitting on the bed! Clean bedding was whisked up to our room without a murmur although I did give him an earbashing.

This was our second visit to Beachlands this time with our daughter. We had a very good sized family room,a little tired decor wise but clean, comfortable and had all you needed in tea coffee and toiletries. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. The location is great not quite a sea view but it is on the front and takes about ten minute easy stroll in to town. Another bonus is the indoor pool something else to do with the kids when the weather is not too kind. We ate in the hotel on our second night and the choice, quality and quantity of the meal was great. When the menu says handcut home cooked chips they really are-delicious and not the usual half dozen stacked up on the plate but a bowl full. Weston may seem to some like a blast from the past but there is a lot of regeneration, good choice of pubs, restaurants and the pier is great for a couple of hours of entertainment. It's also a great base to explore the Somerset North Devon region. We would definitely stay at Beachlands again.

Another superb Sunday Lunch and it was Fathers Day, which made it special. Great menu choices, superb service, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Again you do get the distinct feeling of being part of an extended family.. Thanks to Charles and Beverly. The hotel rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard. A vista it is highly recommended.
