We booked in here for 1 night on our way up from a holiday in Newquay, and thank heavens it was only one night. We arrived to an elderly gentlemen sat at reception who mumbled something to us and walked off, we waited and waited and a young lady than appeared and we were shown to the door of our room. On entering the room the walls all needed a coat of paint as there were so many black marks along them and down the side of the bed it was quite clear that either tea or coffee had been spilt down the wall and just left. The old fashioned carpet needed a good hoover and was thick dust all around the edges. The room had either not been used for quite some time or the chambermaid couldn't see as the tv was thick dust and so was the window ledge. The curtains were almost worn through to holes and outside the window looking onto the flat roof was what looked like a black bin liner of rubbish. I would not recommend this hotel and would rather have slept in our car for the night - NOT GOOD

Just returned from a night stay at the Sandringham
We have stayed before and although it seems tired and in need of a good makeover
the service was excellent again and the problem we had with the shower was sorted without any difficulty. The place is very central we had lovely view of the front and 24hour parking for £2 is a bargain ( even if it is few hundred yards away) we got there early and left out bags in hotel parked up and then went back few hours later to check in
Definitely going back again soon

This hotel is looking very tired and in need of major refurbishment. We were there for two nights on the first night the room we were given had part of the ceiling was coming down over the door, the plaster around the window was falling off and there were holes in the bed sheets.
I complained and we were given another room in a newer part of the hotel which was OK but not up to the standard set by budget hotels like Premier Inn or Ibis.
The staff were friendly and there was a singer on in the bar each evening. this hotel is right opposite the Grand Pier and you pay for the location not the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the newer part of the hotel

Stayed here last week for a night, and it is by no means fancy, but it is clean and staff are friendly. The breakfast was cooked to order and of good quality - so overall I would say it is good value for money for a seafront hotel

On the whole the hotel was fine,we were on the fourth floor and over looking the pier and sands,
the room was clean and comfy, only one draw back, there was no window in the small bathroom
and no extractor fan either.
The dining room was nice and big but, we found that some of the staff were over familiar and a bit loud, the food was just ok, the evening meals were a bit too big, which I supose they were giving value for money, but can be a bit of putting.
The hotel was handy for the shops though.
We have not been to Weston Super Mare , but I don,t think we shall be going again.

Room Tip: Rooms 409 408, face the pier and sea front.
