The hotel was ok and the staff were lovely and very obliging but our room number 7 was shabby and dated and hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. After complaining it had a quick clean but we were very disappointed overall. It could be a lovely hotel with a lot of updating.

Although the hotel is a little dated and creaky, it's in a lovely spot and has great sea views. I found the staff welcoming and friendly, and was able to park easily in the street outside. I got a sea view room with a tiny balcony for a reasonable price B&B. The room was small but clean and the bathroom and shower perfectly adequate. It's a little way outside the main drag (a good thing) and the only problem was getting to it through the considerable roadworks. Breakfast was basic but sufficient and again I had a sea view table. There is a pleasant terrace and it seems they are refurbishing part of that too. If you don't want to go all the way into town there are some bars and restaurants a 5-10 minute stroll away and I had the best fish and chips I've had in a long time at Nick's Bar.
For the price the room was pretty good value and I would be happy to return.

This hotel is very good value for money. It has stunning views across the bay. The staff were friendly and the cleanliness of the room was excellent. I had a sea-view room which was lovely. Unfortunately it was on the first floor, right above the bar....and during the week I was there, there was deafening 'live' music on three evenings. It was so loud my room vibrated! I could not hear my television - and an 'early' night was out of the question. At no time was the 'live' music advertised, either when booking, or during the week or I would definitely have had second thoughts about staying there. Also, the hotel caters for groups - I was there with a coach load of elderly people AND a party of schoolchildren at the same time! The noise is my only complaint. Everything else was good, and the breakfasts were superb. I would recommend this hotel to a friend, but would point out the level of noise.

Parking was an absolute nightmare, I needed a disabled bay for the person with me, but during our stay I did not manage to park by the hotel at all, I even had to park in a side street away from the hotel - I was told at one point that as some of the guests were only there for lunch a space may become free, no such luck.
The reception and all the hallways were very dull and needed some brighter bulbs, and a few flowers in reception would have improved the place - no wow factor. The food was good with plenty of variety and the resturant staff were very good, the bedroom was adequate for our needs, but I do feel the room was over priced.

Last minute desision to stay in Weston with a BF, and with it being December it proved very difficult finding a hotel that was actually open! Walked for an hour up and down the seafront until we saw some people in the bar of Dauncey's and it looked open. The young guy on the desk gave us a good price of £70 (Normally £90 he said) for a double with breakfast and i think we were the only guests there. There was one older man working there too and he was very helpful. Bar was nice and they had lots of local pictures on the walls that you could buy. Room was big and had a huge full length window which looked right out over the ocean. We also were impressed with the bed, it was so comfortable and it had a duvet not a grubby blanket like those we have in the hotel where i work, and it had a beautiful throw over it with flowers stitched all on it.
The pub just down the road was nice and the lady working there was so friendly she let us order a pizza and eat it in the bar. I recommend you visit that pub if you stay here.
Nice hotel with great views and not too expensive. Cannot comment on the brekie as we left too early in the morning.
