Stopped for a meal here on the way through Llanrwst. I am always slightly dubious when asked to pay for a meal in advance, rather than after. There was a choice of maybe 10 mains, however 3 were not available. On the menu were 3 types of burger, 2 pasta (1 veggie), 2 fish, a curry, a steak and rack of lamb. Prices were ok, mostly £8 to £10, a bit more for lamb and steak. We ordered 1x burger, 1x fish and 1x rack of lamb. The burger and fish were ok, but the side salad consisted of sliced lettuce, 1 tiny slice of cucumber and 2 slivers of tomato, so that was inadequate. The rack of lamb was appalling, consisting of 2 tiny rack chops with a couple of mouthfuls of meat on each. We decided to complain and the chef came to our table, he was very defensive and said that he had not received any other complaints and the portion size was the same for everybody. We pointed out that it was not a rack of lamb, he offered to take the meal away and bring a different main course, but not to bring extra lamb or offer a discount. We did not want to wait for another main course, so we had to accept it. The measure of a company is how they deal with complaints and this was very poor. We will not be eating there again.
