We booked this hotel as part of a mini-break in London, selecting it due to it's location and reviews. We paid £143 for B&B and an additional £10 for parking in a reserved spot over the road. Check in was quick and efficient. All the rooms are named after Poems written by a pair who used to live in the house. Our room was called April and was up 3 flights of stairs (no lift) on the second floor (ground floor is double height). Turns out this hotel is in Alex Polizzi's 'Little Black Book' of her 50 favourite hotels in the UK. The room was OK but small, the bathroom even smaller. But everything was functional, clean and well thought-out. The proper air conditioning was welcome. The temperature control of the water in the bathroom left a lot to be desired with the shower moving from hot to cold like a free spirit. Breakfast was average which was a disappointment given the price (£16.50/head) with a cold egg and pink sausages but the view of the River Thames from the balcony was excellent. I'd probably prefer an overall rating of Good but as the choices are Average or Very Good I've gone with the latter.

We stayed on a Lazy Sunday promotion and were very pleased with everything during our stay. We had a reserved parking space as we had requested, the hotel staff were curtious and attentive at all times, the room was beautiful and spacious. The location is superb for walks into town or along the river. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar and had a nice lunch in the restaurant. Overall it was good value for money and a very pleasant stay with comfy bed and luxury linens.
Only negatives were that the whirlpool system on the bath had not been flushed through recently, the continental breakfast was limited and apart from the conserves was not exactly top quality fare, the DVD library could also do with updating. But I'm splitting hairs as everything else exceeded our expectations.

Room Tip: Beaudiler suite, facing the river.

This us a fantastic hotel, from the moment we arrived we were looked after. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room spacious and airy. The bar makes magnificent cocktails to be enjoyed in a beautiful garden.
100% luxury , friendly boutique hotel I would recommend to anyone wishing to experience some old fashioned , quality service

I was taken here for my birthday (May 2014). Had walked past the hotel many times, but had not been in. Great interior. Fantastic location right over the river - it was a rainy evening so we didn't get to sit on the balcony overlooking the Thames.

Food was really excellent and we had a great evening. It was pricy (£170 for two), but worth it. One quibble: the service was on the fussy side of attentive. Better that though than slow or inattentive.

I was pleasantly surprised about the high quality rooms and the amazing view over the garden and river. I have previously had dinner here and it was excellent. The rooms are newly refurbished and have nice beds and also other high quality amenities.

The only criticism I have is that you can hear the neighboring rooms and also people walking which is somewhat disturbing.

Otherwise, really good value for money as the hotel is not expensive.

I booked this hotel up for my 30th birthday for 12 friends. I will review the restaurant separately as it deserves much more than the hotel.

We tried to book the best room but certainly don't get it we where facing the road and the room was the smallest I have ever stayed in, certainly not what I expected.

The hotel itself is very good tho and the service was good just expected abit more from the rooms.
