The staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable.
Parking can get full.
This is a great place to stay for central London train 2 minute walk away. Great location for Richmond and restaurants

Richmond is a lovely town but unfortunately right below the air corridor of London Heathrow on many days.

During our stay at the Richmond Inn Hotel we were not only disturbed by the noise level from above; the hotel is situated at the corner of Church Rd and Sheen Rd which can become quite loud, too, due to the heavy traffic.

Apart from the noise, the rooms are fine. Breakfast could be more elaborate and you have to pay for special coffee creations (e.g. espresso, latte) other than plain coffee.

A big plus is the location: you can easily walk into town and train station.

Room Tip: Try to get a room which is not facing Church Rd or Sheen Rd but the inner courtyard.

Service was good, although the room was not ready until 3pm, they did offer to store my bag.

The room was nicely decorated, clean and of a good size. Beds were comfy with good quality linen and the bathroom was fully tiled with a good shower.

Continental breakfast was okay, nothing special but for the money it was satisfactory. I prefer it when they have sealed cereals in boxes, rather than it all laid out in big bowls, as it tends to always be a bit stale and not very hygienic - especially when you have to reach over the cereals to get other things.

Its free parking at the back of the hotel, although its not very big and I imagine at busy times you would struggle to find a spot.

Room Tip: We had a twin room facing the road, which wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be, although the people above us were very noisy (really creaky floorboards) but I guess the only way to avoid this is to go for the top floor.

Stayed towards end Jan 2013.
Given room in basement. £165 per night.
Freezing room and in bathroom , couldn't move radiator caps to raise heat as there were none to alter....removed by hotel !
Firedoor outside bedroom was LOCKED with a PADLOCK !! Glass vial missing.
Only way out was via lift which in the event of an emergency wouldn't be available
We were advised door could still be opened in emergency , by reception.
Sorry , but absolutely impossible and a fire hazard. Took 2 days to replace glass vial.
We were given another room later but no deduction for poor 1st night.

Room Tip: Would never stay here again. Lack of knowledge in hotel management re fire regulations

Never again: room on the 1st floor next to the reception, elevators and hotel entrance (on the street!) I slept 4 hours thanks to the night man who spent most of his time on the phone (not discretely) past 1am, then guests came in around 2am and made a lot of noise (apparently the nightman was not really concerned) . Breakfast is real bare minimum and food is displayed on the table 10 mn after opening hours. One of the wxorst hotel experience ever.
