Good hotel for short stay in outer London. Very convenient for walking to Richmond or Richmond train station. Functional hotel- a little in need of external redecoration. Good continental breakfast but very light on facilities. My tv did not work. Friendly staff and very clean rooms with comfy bed. Good pub close by.

We were staying for Saturday night only, very much in the off season (a couple of days after New Year) and the hotel didn't appear to be busy. The reception staff on both arrival and departure were pleasant, the room was spotless and, facing the rear of the building, was also very quiet.

We didn't make it down in time for breakfast but this really wasn't a problem, as one of the Richmond Inn's strong points is its location: it's close to a great variety of decent restaurants and pubs, and also some pleasant walks along the river.

One thing worth pointing out is that we booked at fairly short notice and paid £95 for the night, which was reasonable, though I would think twice about the £155 I've seen quoted elsewhere.

I booked this hotel for our visit to London as part of my husband's birthday gift as we were to visit the Fuller's Brewery.

The location is great as it is 3 mins walk from Richmond Tube station and you cannot hear the trains from the hotel. Buses also go past as it's on a crossroads. A huge plus for this hotel is that it comes with parking, all be it on a first come, first serve basis.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. I requested a quiet room as we are both light sleepers and didn't fancy a grumpy birthday husband! Our request was met and we had a ground floor room overlooking the small garden area and predominantly the car park, this was fine.

The room was spacious, decor well matched, bed spotless and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities are available and biscuits were included. The on-suite had marble tiles (these were cold underfoot as there wasn't underfloor heating but there was central heating). The only drawback for ANY property in this area is that it is under the incoming flight path and engine noise can be heard from 5.30-6.00am onwards.

Continental breakfast is fine and included in the price (another plus). There was a choice of cereals, fruit juices, bread, cheese, ham, yoghurts, croissants (from packet and served cold) and toast (choice of bread). If you would like a cooked breakfast or scrambled eggs, then this is extra. I was perfectly happy with the continental and this set me up for the day.

I liked the fact that there was a bowl of sweets in the entrance area, which was a nice touch.

Breakfast is served in the area overlooking the main road, so you can sip your coffee at leisure whilst watching the people heading into work. I noticed single travellers, couples and families dining at breakfast, so this hotel suits all.

We had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the friendly service.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet one but be prepared for planes in the morning.

Stayed here for 2 nights over the New Year. We did the same 2 years ago, Good value, very clean, close access to trains into London. Nice friendly staff, parking if you're lucky and lots of great restaurants nearby. What's not to like?

A last minute 'walk in' and offered a good £75 a night rate. I stayed here for convenience really as it's well located for Richmond, the station and the shops in Richmond.

Friendly and efficient welcome from the manager and her very enthusiastic helper (Maybe a little bit too much - but no harm!) Room a good size with everything you need, good sized bathroom, comfy bed, etc. Room was quite dated - more middle of the road B&B than 4star hotel, but for £75 cant complain.

Radiator needed bleeding and asked for addition pillows, both requests full filled (After a quick reminder) but no complaints.

VERY basic continental breakfast - nothing special, but Starbucks and other places close by!

For a weekday business hotel, or a weekend break 'just need somewhere to sleep' type hotel this place is ideal - if you are looking for that somewhere special - this is not for you

Room Tip: Rooms can be noisy, its on a main road Sometimes in Heathrow Flight path Don't rely on Breakfa...

We had an overnight transit in London and selected this on price. The manager upgraded us from a twin to a lovely large double with a sunroom. Very good of her to do this. Well positioned
to Richmond for thirty minute commute to London Waterloo. Also plenty of good dining options.

I stayed here with a colleague whilst on business locally, we had stayed the previous week in another local hotel which was around £20 per night cheaper, it was the best £20 we spent as the hotels were like night and day. The staff at Richmond Inn are very friendly and professional and go to great lengths to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are well maintained up to date clean an modern. Sizes do vary quite a bit I had an average London hotel size room and an enormous room. The on-site parking is very handy. Can't comment on the breakfast as we were out too early to try it but I would have no hesitation in staying here again.
