We spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon in September 2012 and have been back several times to eat since, both lunch and dinner and have enjoyed everything about the food, room, service and atmosphere. We had room 12 (disabled access) which has a walk in shower with a seat, making our stay very comfortable, though a word of warning if you like a lie-in, there is a beautiful view outside but also a footpath, early morning walkers may pass along from the loch! All meals were wonderful in the restaurant, I took the photo in April 2013, what more could you ask for in a view! The new owners are lovely, filling Hillary and John's shoes admirably, keeping the staff is a brilliant touch because they are family! Bernie and Miranda are lovely! We book for meals whenever we are in the area, Recommended to all lovers of comfort!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of Feb this year. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and looked after. It is a really friendly relaxed hotel perfect for us who wanted it as a base for walking in the area. The bed was comfy, the shower hot and the room warm.
Breakfast was brilliant and filled you up for the day. There is a bar in the hotel which is great for a drink and a chill out. We would definitely stay again as there is still lots to do in the area. Take a look at Grey mare's tail waterfall and The lost valley while you're at it, they're easy to get to without a massive hike.
I don't often write reviews but this hotel is worth a mention as it stood out really well . Thanks for your hospitality.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are glad that you not only got the opportunity to explore some of the amenities at the hotel but also got to venture out despite the weather to see some of the beautiful walks that we have on our doorstep. We are very lucky to have such a wealth of activities and vistas on our doorstep which keeps people visiting each year. We do hope that you will return to us if you are visiting the area, you will always be welcome.

Kind Regards,

Craig Innes

We stayed for a 2 night break at the end of January. We took our parents as a Christmas present. We could not fault this hotel, everything was first class from service through to the meals, which deserve a special mention, it was really first class. Amazing breakfast especially if you are partial to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Amazing views were a bonus. Would definitely recommend

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us with your family and we are very happy that you enjoyed the experience. We are very lucky with the location and that such a magnificent loch and mountain view backdrop is framed so well by the restaurant windows. We are delighted that you so thoroughly enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, they shall await you should you venture to Loch Leven again.

I took my wife to this hotel for her birthday, we spent 2 nights there. It was a wonderful place to spend a birthday. The family run hotel was old in a very well preserved way. The management and staff went out of thier way to make us welcome, to the extent that they gave my wife a birthday card and had all the people in the bar sing happy birthday to her. The locals in the bar and the other hotel guests were very friendly and we spent to fantastic nights enjoying the company of great people. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable, also lots of tea, coffe and milk in the rooms. The restaurant was really very good. the food was exceptional and could not be faulted. All in all we had an experience to remember. Thank you one and all, especialy Cheryl for looking after us so well.

This old coaching inn was everything we wanted for a spontaneous night away - cosy surroundings, lovely bedroom with comfy bed and hot shower (and free biccies!). Rounded off with a filling breakfast with beautiful views across the loch, not to mention the super friendly service. The new owners are off to a great start and will no doubt continue to do great things with the place. Pop in a wood burner and I'll give it 5 stars next time!
