We had two nights recently at Loch Leven. A lovely young couple, very willing to please and with friendly staff. A good room and a very nice breakfast.
Beautiful gardens with all the rhodos and azaleas in bloom, overlooking the loch - an extremely scenic part of the world. Good local walks and nicely accessible to the bigger attractions of the area.
An enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Very pleasant welcoming atmosphere. Under new younger enthusiastic management. Stayed in the annex. Good value. Everywhere needs a lick of paint and more attention to detail in some areas. Beds need renewing.

Room Tip: There are two annex rooms. Very good value. Converted pigsty. Worrying from the outside but great in...

Dear Andrew B,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are glad that you enjoyed one of our annex rooms and hope that we can welcome you back in the future.

I agree that certain areas are still much in need of restoration and given time we look forward to reaching the standards that our guests will become accustomed to. With regards to the outside of the annex buildings we have already begun plans for improving the external appearance with plans for a small garden to the front to improve the asthetic appearnce.

Thank you again for visiting and we hope to welcome you back.

Kind Regards,

Craig Innes

We stayed in the annex which was basic but comfortable. Couple of niggles though. The room door appeared to only be under coat painted, everything squeaked - the doors, the door handles, even the toilet roll holder - WD40 needed! The door mat in the entry hall between the two rooms is really filthy and needs to be thrown out. Nice tray of tea/coffee, etc. Good shower and comfy beds. Easy to hear people next door -but hotel can't be blamed for noisy guests!! Food was average at best. We had fish and chips in the bar and although it looked nice, nothing had any flavour, fish watery and completely bland, chips undercooked and peas were like bullets. We'd been out since 5am and by the time we ate we were starving so very disappointed. Expected breakfast to be great and unfortunately it wasn't. Sorry!

Dear Hilary L,

Thank you for reviewing one of our annex rooms, I agree completely that the rooms are basic but comfortable and we hope that people find them good value for money. Thank you for bringing to my attention the squeeky doors though you should not have needed to. Such small details as that and the door mat are quick and easy fixes for us and we shall have these looked at shortly.
We are of course disappointed that you did not enjoy your dinner with us, since your visit we have changed our head chef and we look forward to developing our offering further with him. We hope that if nothing else you shall visit in the future to try some of the produce that we are capable of.

Kind Regards,

Craig Innes

Stayed for 2 nights recently on a special deal. Location is perfect for travelling around and views are lovely. There is a nice walk along the shore at the front of the hotel. The room was quite small and nothing fancy however it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast had a good selection and was freshly cooked. Dinner was lovely and great value for money and we enjoyed a drink in the bar. All the staff were very friendly and keen to help guests get the most from their stay. Would happily return

We had a great 2 night break here where nothing was to much trouble for any
of the staff. Fantastic location , Very nice clean rooms , Great breakfast . My
only small grumble is the evening menu, in my opinion it could do with a bit
more choice. But on saying that we ate in the restaurant twice and the food
was great both times.
I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed there for 2 nights with my other half and Brynley the dog, what a wonderful traditional scottish hotel. Views are absolutely amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful, and if you're a dog owner its even better, they love dogs here and there are so many walks to take you're canine friend on, we will be back and to all the staff a very big thank you, oh and by the way the food is spot on

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the Loch its lovely

This hotel is sited at the end of the Glencoe range and on the bank of the Loch Leven. Superb scenery and walks within a short distance. Hotel is great with friendly staff always willing to help. Rooms reasonable size and clean. Great food and drink and very dog friendly.

Room Tip: In our room No. 10 we could hear the fan from the adjacent room but was only short lived.
