A well run restaurant just in behind the Best Western Wine Country hotel in West Kelowna. A short walk. But, you need to have reservations as it is getting to be a very busy place as people discover it.
Not a large selection on the menu but the items are well prepared and served with a wine list featuring Okanagan wines (surprised?). Portions are not huge, but are substantial so there will be no need to make a MacDonalds run after supper. My lady and I had the special of the day (a blackened chicken breast on a bed of wild rice) which came in at a reasonable price of $12.95 each along with a glass of wine for her and a sleeve of local beer for me. Wine was $9/glass and beer was on special @ $3.50. We shared a cheesecake dessert that was topped off with blackberries (sinful but great).
The server was prompt, and not intrusive, leaving us alone to enjoy the view over the golf course with Okanagan Lake in the background. We were seated right at a large picture window with the bar close by. There is outdoor seating on the patio but the day we were there it was threatening rain so the gal suggested we eat inside.
There was a hockey gem on the large TV and my lady caught me glancing at the action rather than paying attention to what she was saying, so guys, make sure you sit facing away from the set if you are with somebody special.
