My husband and I traveled with our dear friends and neighbors to the Kelowna area and spent a week at A View of the Lake B&B. We found Steve and Chrissy to be excellent hosts.
The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. Our room, the Grand View, had a wall of windows that looked out over the lake with a jacuzzi tub. The ensuite bathroom was huge with separate his and hers sinks and a custom shower with multiple jets. The common space was very large with a large comfy leather sectional that was perfect for crawling up and reading a book on. The expansive deck on the common space level had a covered area which allowed for us to eat our breakfast outside every morning.
Which brings me to the breakfasts.....each morning we were greeted to coffee/tea/and 2 types of juice to start. The breakfasts consisted of 3 courses beautifully prepared by Steve. Over the course of 7 days, Steve never repeated a single course. Each morning we were dazzled by yet another gastronomic delight.
We also found the other guests that we met while at the B&B to all be very delightful. It was a great experience for us.
Our only disappointment was that we were not able to get a larger group of people together so that we could see Steve in action in his 550 sq ft kitchen. If you have a group of 8 or more people, Steve will prepare a demonstration meal with wine paring. We will be back to ensure we capitalize on this experience.
No question, the next time we are in the Kelowna area we will be back!

Chrissy and Steve were wonderful hosts. We liked sitting on the terrace having breakfast, talking to Chrissy and Steve, laughing, joking and ascertaining that we all are cosmopolitans. The time was too short, but always we seem to sit there...

Upon arrival at A View of the Lake B & B, we were greeted by Steve (the owner)...he took us out to the deck which overlooked Okanagan Lake and the city of Kelowna. He offered us a glass of locally grown wine and asked us to tell him a little bit about ourselves, our trip, and any food allergies we might have. When we told him we were visiting because we were thinking of buying a home in the area, he immediately produced several maps of the city and a current real estate guide.
Besides being a very helpful resource on our trip, the room we stayed in was terrific with a great view of the lake and a very comfortable king-sized bed.
The breakfast the next morning was served on the deck and it was very nicely done with omelettes, pancakes and fresh fruit accompanied by juice and coffee.
We are already planning another stay and would highly recommend this B & B to others who are looking for accomodation in the Kelowna area.

If you are in Kelowna then you must stay here! you might need a car but if you can stay in the master suite then you will just want to stay there forever! in the jacuzzi!
Steve and Chrissy manage to keep in the distance and yet still mange to provide personal attention to all your needs. Breakfast is great and sets you up for the remainder of the day.
The cost is not a lot more than a conventional "chain" hotel but the result is very different.
I cannot speak highly enough of A View of the Lake: we met some lovely people there and the breakfast conversation is an opportunity for the guests to exchange all sorts of information about their relative interests and countries.
I hope that Sue and I get another opportunity to visit Kelowna and , if Steve and Chrissy will have us, we will return no doubt about that.

Steve and Chrissy are such gracious hosts. They are warm and friendly people who really made us feel welcome. The gourmet breakfast was fantastic and easily the best meal of our entire stay at the Okanagan. The views are amazing and the room was so cozy. We'll definitely be back and have already been spreading the news to friends.

Steve & Chrissy were marvelous hosts in their beautiful home overlooking Okanagan Lake and the Kelowna marina etc from the west side of the lake. They made us feel at home and we felt very comfortable in the home.

We had two rooms, first night in the Garden View Garden View which is a spacious queen bedroom, which overlooks the front of the house, garden and mountains (no view of the lake or city). The large bathroom has a single vanity with a custom walk in shower and the Lake View is our queen bedroom, which has panoramic views of the mountains, lake and city. The bathroom has single vanity and a custom made walk in shower with a 10" rainhead shower. Both rooms were modern, spotlessly clean, well maintained and quiet....as was the entire property.

The three-course breakfasts on the balcony in the morning sun, overlooking the lake were spectacular. Steve is a wonderful cook and Chrissy attends to every detail. Breakfasts were both inspiring and memorable.

We thoroughly enjoyed the location, the view, the spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable rooms, accompanied by Chrissy & Steve's easy-going, respectful and helpful approach to making us feel part of their home.

We would return to this B&B on another trip.

We were here for 2 nights and LOVED our stay! Steve and Chrissy were warm and hospitable and so helpful. Our room (garden view) is new and while it didn't not have a view of the lake, was just perfect. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. My only regret is we did not have time to do one of Steve's famous tastings, next time for sure :)
