Have you ever wanted to come face to face with a Stag, but thought it too dangerous, we, worry no more. This animal park, a few miles outside Kitzbuhel has a very large herd of Deer, including a large number of Stags. There are also numerous other animals, far too many to mention, but this was the highlight for me.
You are allowed into the enclosure that houses the herd and a number of goats, and, so long as they are on the path, you can approach (but not feed) them. One stag in particular seemed as tame as a dog, and was quite happy being Petted and photographed even though he was in possession of a mighty set of Antlers which could inflict damage if he wanted to.
The children will love the baby goats that are scampering about and there is plenty to see.
The park also includes a few adventure playgrounds, which themselves, would occupy the children for a good while.
As well as all this, you have the views from the park itself, which, are to put it mildly, spectacular. My advice is, take a picnic, and take your time, but watch the Donkey's don't steal your Sandwiches.
If you are in Kitzbuhel, a taxi leaves the Hanenkham every day at 1330 and the fare includes entrance to the park. The only downside is that it returns at 1600, which does not leave a lot of time if you have Children. Whatever you do, do not try and Walk it. Aurach, is only 3 miles outside Kitzbuhel, but the park itself, is 4km outside Aurach, straight up a mountain.
We have now been to the park twice and enjoyed it immensely.
