This Konditorei (cafe which serves cakes, tartes, and drinks), is run by Thomas Walter, a reknown young Konditoreimeister. It is located in an old watermill dating back to 18th century (1710), and owned by the same family since 1852: old wooden boards in the ceiling and the walls, small windows as it was at the time, outlooking to the Salzböde valley. Important to note that there is no other constructions in this valley by regulation: only hikers, bikers, and animals around! I went there with German friends who have been experiencing this Konditorei since years. I should add that the prices are very good compared to the suality of the food. The personnel is very friendly. For sure a great place to go just one hour Noth of Frankfurt. In the summer time, you can sit outside.
