The Hotel is nice and yes the rooms need updating, they may have been 4* 5-10 yrs ago but not now. We enjoyed the beach it was private and just for our hotel more or less, there was plenty of sunbeds, Very nice on the whole.
It is out of the way but nice to relax and doesn't to have any where nice to walk.
We had one of the rooms with a small garden terrace rooms 510 to 518, the terrace had sunbeds on but we didn't use them as the garden was weed and when they watered it just mud, it would be better if they paved the area's.
We were a party of 3 in 1 room, we originally booked H/board but after 3 days we upgraded to All Inc, we did feel that guests that were not All Inc were treated differently, we have been on many hols and never felt like that before so yes we did feel like being pressured into upgrading. please be careful if you are 3 guests to one room we had no end of problems getting our drinks as the waiters are told only 2 drinks per order and we had to explain numerous times. NO 3 to a room. it carried on even after complaining and with the same waiters asking each time so it got really annoying, only 1 waiteress remebered our room number which was good thank you to her.
The food is good and plentyful we sat outside for our meals.
We hired a car for 6 days from the Hotel Eurocar, but really paid over the odds, about 100 Euro's more. we had a look round a few 4*/5* Hotels where friends had been
and found car prices much cheaper e.g Horizon Hire.
On the whole we did have a nice time.
Would we go back there, YES. Will we go back there NO, we don't tend to go back to same Hotel.
If anybody goes into one of these rooms can they feed the little white and ginger Kitten

Went to this hotel for a friends wedding and had a great 2 weeks the hotel staff could not have been any friendlier, they always seemed to be smiling and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. We arrived to late for dinner but they laid on a buffet of sandwiches etc and gave us all a voucher to use when we liked before going home, we used this as a last meal as we had a late departure. We had upgraded to a superior room and was well pleased with it, large room, very large bed and a balcony overlooking the sea which had the sun pouring in it after around 11am and stayed all day giving us some beautiful sunsets, add to this a nice bathroom, jacuzzi style bath and shower meant money well spent.
It is true that they try to get you to go all inclusive so that drinks and midday meal is free, but we do not drink or want to stuff ourselves so we declined. The food was good on the whole with plenty of choice so there was always something for everybody with seating inside or out and has it is a buffet you can go up as many times as you like (great for trying stuff to see if you like it or not). Sunbeds are not a problem with quite a few around the pool area along with chairs and tables, and the main amount on grassed areas under palm trees.
Somethings on the down side, the beach is around the size of a football field with a mixture of sand and sharp stones.
To buy a bottle of water in the hotel was 2.60euros a litre but a four minute walk to the supermarket got you 9 litres for around 3euros.
There is no other nightlife around but bus`s do round from just outside the hotel every 15 mins to Pathos or Coral Beach at a cost of 1.50euros no matter how long or short the journey.
On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
P.S
The room we stayed in was 303 but 02,04,05 were just as good.

This is the third time that we have stayed at this hotel and as before we have fould the Hotel, food and staff excellent.
The Thomson Gold team go out of their way to ensure that your holiday is enjoyable. We found the quality of the entertainment well above that we have experienced at other hotels.
Food quality is good and varied with an excellent resturant manager.
Bar staff were friendly and efficent.
We will certainly return for a forth visit.

The title of the hotel is very misleading for a start. There is only a postage stamp of a beach and it is not golden sand (as you are led to dream of by the name of the hotel), it is very small pebbles and rocks! That aside, the water is warm and sheltered by a ring of rocks. The hotel on the whole is ok but I would definately not rate it as a 4star+ (the reception and foyer are maybe but not anywhere else). It is stuck out virtually in the middle of nowhere, on a very busy main road and where are the banana plantations as described in the brochure? All gone bar a couple of dying ones, ready to accommodate the building of apartments, hotels etc. Watch out, bulding work on the near horizon.
The food ok but had to eat out at local restaurant towards the end of second week as we had had enough of the same thing being dished up, perhaps with a different name and a few different herbs thrown in. Beware the lamb chops. They always looked as though they had been cremated! We gave those a very wide berth.
We went on a Half Board basis but the staff were always pushing upgrading to All Inclusive. If we wanted that we would have booked that in the first place! So, everytime we ordered a drink or coffee we were the last to receive it as the All Inclusives got their's first. Then to add insult to injury, when we had paid we were made to wait ages for our change. Also, we tried to buy an ice cream cone from the Pool Bar and were told that as we were not A.Inc we could not have one!! We could have the branded things like Cornettos but not a scooped ice cream in a cone. We also found out from other Half Boarders that you could not have a snack at lunch time at the beach cafe, because of course we're not A.Inc. I ask you, what sort of a hotel is this? Because we were not All.Inc we were made to feel like second class citizens. So why advertise Half Board in the brochures if they don't want people to have it? It's not worth it anyway, unless you are happy (to get you're money's worth) to drink yourself to death on the very, very unintersting local offerings, because you don't get any brands or even spirits.
As you may have gathered by now we will not be returning to the Atlantica. So if you're still thinking of going, go ahead and risk wasting your money.

We were due to travel to Cyprus for a week & had booked flights & hotel independantly. Due to the falling ratings of our original hotel we switched to this hotel a couple of weeks before we went, due to its positive reviews. And we were not disappointed. There were 3 of us, myself, my husband & my 13 year old son.

Although this is a Thomson's Gold hotel the entertainment staff were fantastic & allowed my son to join in all the activities. Debbie & Mark work their socks off & deserve a special mention.

Overall the entertainment in the hotel was perfect. It was available in the day if you wanted it, but not 'in your face'. But in the evening it was lovey to have live music & comedians every evening. You didn't have to sit in the ballroom, you could sit outside & listen to it in the background as we did.

We were lucky & had one of the newly renovated superior rooms which was huge & had a lovely view. The beds were large & very comfortable with loads of pillows. Really effective air conditioning & lovely modern bathroom with a spa bath.

As for the food, you won't go hungry! We opted for all inclusive (& looking at the prices of food & drink in Paphos now I think that was a wise decision). Breakfast was probably the best I have had anywhere. A fabulous selection plus freshly made omelettes & pancakes. Nice to be able to sit inside or out - always plenty of room to choose.

Lunch is served at a taverna & there are a few steps down to it (but there was also a slope). Drinks servicce wasn't always the fastest I admit, but the view was spectacular so chill out & they will come to you soon. We never waited more than 10 mins for a drink. When it came it was always nicely chilled & the wine came in an ice bucket. The food is buffet until 2.30. Not a massive choice, but always a soup, plenty of salads & a few hot dishes, plus good selection of cheese plus deserts & ice cream. You can then order off the snack menu after 2.30 if you wish.

Evening meal again you can sit inside or out. Plenty of choice, cooking stations with a roast of the day plus things like Fajitas, pasta dishes etc. Really couldn't fault it. You would have to be seriously fussy not to find anything to eat.

Drinks on the all inclusive were excellent & included things like bottled water which you could get all day, iced coffees (many all inc charge extra for those), Slush's, milkshake, hot chocolate & ice cream for the kids as well as really drinkable wine & beer plus local spirits. Full selection of cocktails & by the difficulty I had in getting back to my room at the end of the evening I would suggest they are quite strong!

The hotel itself is probably looking a bit shabby from the outside if I'm honest but the warm hospitality of the staff easily made up for that. Lovely pool area - gloriously warm & easy to access by a slope or walk in steps. Sunbeds around the pool are limited but also pleantly of grass area close by. Don't put towels down & leave them before 8am or they will get removed!

In summary if you want a nice hotel with excellent food & drink with some entertainment thrown in & great staff, you would be hard pushed to beat this hotel. We will certainly return & this is a great advert for Atlantica Hotels in general.

This was our first visit to this gold hotel,[ we have stayed in 2 other gold hotels], we would like to say we had a great 2 week stay here, the food was excellent, the hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly and could,nt do enough for you. Although the hotel was a bit out of the way, there was a bus stop across the road, where the buses were very regular to paphos town. We were under the impression that this hotel was adult only and were very disappointed at the amount of children at the hotel.

The staff work exceptionally hard to accomdate your needs, they are helpful and friendly. The food is gorgeous and well-prepared. The entertainment at the hotel is excellent and there is plenty on offer for you to do (but are not pushed to do it). The pool is well-maintained and the view is stunning. Normally you can find a fault - i couldn't. Excellent
