“Best Indian meal ever”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Amazing venue, wonderful & attentive service, and delicious food (I always pick either the honey chicken or butter chicken - both mild dishes).
I always recommend this restaurant to my friends, and this is my husband and I's date night venue-of-choice on a rare child-free evening!
It does get busy in the evenings, so I do recommend reserving a table.

“A Pretty Upmarket Indian”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Visited here in April with 5 friends. The place is beautifully decorated and doesn't feel like your "regular" indian restaurant - it feels a little more special than the norm.
Staff were friendly, food was delicious and the thing I liked best was that there were things on the menu I'd never seen anywhere else - like a Crab Bhuna that was sweet and delicious with lots of succulent crabmeat in it.
The staff are perhaps overly attentive in asking if you'd like more drinks, but it wasn't intrusive and they weren't pushy.

“A promising start”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

This was my first visit to the brasserie and disappointingly will be my last. It was a promising start with the poppadoms coming out quickly and delicious pickles.. but as soon as the first empty drinks glass was on the table the waiters started a pretty much constant stream of do you want more drinks?
After nearly two hours the food eventually arrived... it was all swimming with oil, was fairly small portions, full of tomatoes cut in half and big chunks of semi cooked to raw onions.

on leaving the restaurant I checked a few other tables who's curries didn't seem to be as our were. so maybe they reserve the oily slop for larger parties

“awful food”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

Where to start! Our food was swimming in grease, even the rice and Nan bread were extremely greasy. Not only was the food swimming in grease it was extremely salty, the potatoes weren't cooked and the sag slip side dish had no taste. The staff were rude and the tables were so close together that not only was there no privacy when dinning but if someone wanted to get out people on other tables had to move out the way. Very nicely decorated but very poor food and service wise. Will defiantly not be returning.

“Lovely atmosphere and food”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

This restaurant had a unique design, and is very atmospheric. Just make sure you are not seated in the very back area, as this is the least cosy place,
The service is excellent, but you have to tell them that you do not wish to be rushed. On 2 occasions, we have had our main course brought to us while eating our starter. A good idea is to order popodoms first, and then order your main meal.
The food is first class, and cannot be faulted., and is very reasonably priced.
It is a very upmarket place, where you will feel you are somewhere a little different.
Highly recommended.
