My husband and I dined here on our last night on Moorea, and had we been there earlier in our trip, we would definitely have returned. Yes, it is expensive, but what is not on Moorea? We had dined at Rudy's, Moorea Beach Cafe and our hotel, and in comparing the check receipts, La Villa did come out a bit higher, but not substantially! However, the food quality, presentation, and unique offerings made it worth the small extra cost. If we had to complain about anything, the service for such a fine restaurant seemed not very well educated; for example, the waitress had to reposition our silverware twice until she had it correct.
I read some comments about the geckos on the ceiling -- they are not lizards, as one person said. You are in the tropics, folks! We found them entertaining and are the price for having this wonderful, outdoor, warm tropic experience.
