We stopped for a week taking a family room on the first floor and a single room on the ground floor. Well equipped comfortable clean rooms.

We received a warm welcome and enjoyed our stay very much. Nothing was too much trouble for Judith and Peter. Great breakfasts and there was no problem in catering for vegetarians. The breakfast room is spacious and very pleasant.

A lovely friendly hotel that we intend to use again!

I have stayed at The Ashmount Hotel every year since 2004 and it hasn't let me down one bit.

I used Room 7 this time around as Room 10 is currently occupied by other guests staying. The room was OK though.

As for the breakfast, it was equally good and you get to choose your own cooked breakfast items how you like them - for example, I had sausage, bacon, poached egg and mushrooms.

When travelling to North Wales, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for two nights with grown up family (three rooms - two twin and one superior double). All rooms really clean and very comfortable. One of our rooms was on ground floor which as great for elderly family member. Judith and Peter really friendly and helpful. Breakfast really good. Fantastic stay - would stay again.

We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 1. We had the ground floor room with easy access. To use this entrance we had to walk down the side drive which was in a very poor state, apart from the builders' rubbish there were open food bins being attacked by seagulls. The room, although clean, was in a time warp. The hospitality tray was on a shelf in a deep recess making it very difficult to use, the bathroom was so outdated and certainly not suitable for people with disabilities, had the toilet been any lower it would have been a hole in the ground. The shower was miniscule, there was nowhere to put anything. The beds smelt of damp and the carpet should have been replaced years ago. The breakfast which had such rave reviews was mediocre in the extreme, the coffee was instant and the fruit practically non-existent. The hosts were pleasant and helpful and front of house was very nice, just don't book room 13.

Room Tip: If you have any disabilities do not expect comfort or convenience.

We stayed for two nights in June in the Family room with our two children aged 12 & 14. A double bed and bunks provided more than enough enough space. We met both Peter and Judith who were both helpful and friendly. A nice quiet location and within walking distances of restaurants.

The position of this could not have been better for us. Easy walking distance to town and plenty of parking at the hotel. (We did park on the road but it was no problem and we could have put the car onto the drive if we'd known.) The room had everything you'd expect and the breakfast was ample and good. Free wifi though the signal did not reach my room!

The decor was a little dated but everything was very clean and actually it was nice not to stay somewhere which tried for corporate blandness.

The price was good and as I say the location was great, sea at the end of the road and an easy walk into town/the beach.

Room Tip: Our twin room had no wifi signal - a must in this part of Wales where general data signal is patchy...

We had room on the ground floor. The decoration was dated but it gave a warm feeling. The hotel and room were very clean and tidy. Judith was very nice, friendly and welcoming. I can't say I slept well but it was not too bad. As soon as I opened the window in the night for some fresh air, all I heard was loud cawing seagulls. It seemed like they had a nest right above our room. But once I closed the window, there was no noise but it got hot inside and that disturbed my sleep. The breakfast was just O.K
