“Amazing View”

This 2 bed apartment has floor to ceiling windows in the living area and the master bedroom which give you an amazing view across the bay. There is also a balcony which you can access from the living area and the master bedroom with chairs and a table. The apartment is very smart and clean, there is an ensuite in the master bedroom and a main bathroom. The living area is open plan, the kitchen fully fitted with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven/hob and a microwave. Sofas are comfortable and there is a dining table to seat to seat 6.
Everything you need is included, nice touches like when you turn up there is milk in fridge, tea, coffee, biscuits and even a bottle of local cider!
There is secure parking in a underground car park for one car. Also there are lifts from the car park and they provide a trolley to help take your luggage up.
The kitchen and second bedroom look out on the rear of the property which is also where the front door is, the view here is not so good as there is a new block of flats being built currently and until they finish that it will look untidy. But when in the apartment your main view is the other way over the sea so this is not a problem.
We loved this aprtment and would go back, it is modern, comfortable and the view is briliant, nothing better than relaxing on the balcony soaking it all in!

“what a view”
Reviewed 24 September 2012 for a stay in September 2012

A really lovely apartment - which had an amazing view from the lounge and bedroom. high spec, very clean and well equipped - with some nice touches like the welcome basket, and well equipped with cleaning materials etc provided - met the expectation and standard of a 4 star rated accomodation. The pictures do the accomodation justice - and we will look to return again. I would imagine all of the accomodation at horizon view is of that standard - however if booking make sure you ensure you have a sea view property - as some of the horizon view property does not - and although you are on the sea front - it would be gutting not to have the view! westward ho! is a bit of a mixed place - a mix of the redeveloped areas, alongside the old - but we had a fab week - and many an hour was spent watching the changing views. As we have a young child - most evenings were spent in the apartment, and it was nice to ahve a glass of wine on the balcony, watching the sea, and also watching the tide come in and waves crash against the sea wall.... We would reccomemend eating at a lovely cafe / bar called the Quay at appledore and Tea on the Green in westwood, for amanzing cakes and afternoon tea (dont be afraid to ask for a doggie bag - as almost impossible to eat the cakes as so huge!) Nice food in the bar next door as well. If travelling with young children - the aprtment has lots of games and dvd's provided, and also in the area there are lots of family play parks with indoor play areas - The big sheep is reasonably priced - staff very friendly and an entertaining sheep show (better than it sounds!), and like many of the local attrations you can get in for 1/2 price for a return visit within the week.

“Fantastic Location”

This apartment is in the Horizon View complex, which we've stayed in before. It's quite a striking location close to the high tide mark, and a lovely place to sit and watch the the surf from.

There's really good, secure parking, and the apartments, including this one, are all to a high standard. The owner was really friendly and welcoming, and arranged for a more convenient key handover for us as well. There was also a nice welcome pack and it was a really clean and comfortable place to stay.

Wetward Ho! is a nice little place, and in a great spot to explore North Devon. It's only 10 minutes drive to a couple of large supermarkets, plus you can get pretty much everything you need from the smaller stores, bakers and butchers in the village.

We enjoyed the coastal paths and walking on the beach more than anything, and if you're into surfing, kite surfing or body boarding, or would like to learn from the local training schools, it's perfect.

As we knew of the views from the great, wide balcony, we took a small travel telescope - but the owners had already left a decent set of binocculars for the use of guests. Another nice touch.

The only down side was the ugly, and often noisy, building site at the rear of the complex. It doesn't seem to have moved on too much in the two years since we stayed there last, and may be a minor inconvenience for some time yet. There's a minor design problem with the rear, twin bedroom and the way the window opening clashes with the access door to the rear veranda. Our kids complained of being woken by diggers a couple of times at 0730, whilst we were blissfully unaware in the front, master bedroom!

I'd recommend this apartment for couples, but with a slight reservation on the second bedroom. We really enjoyed our stay there.
