We had a carvery on the Saturday they do them, Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday. We went down for a drink on a few occasions, pub was clean, staff were good.

We went here on a lovely sunny day when the children could play out in the little park they have at the back. We sat out and watched the children play until our food arrived...This did not seem an endless wait even though they were very busy. The portions were large enough for us to be full and we even left some. Even my 11 year old ate his fill from the children's menu main course. The only things that let it down was there was a small amount of litter in the play park area and other parents not watching their children. You can hardly blame that on the restaurant though. I would definitely recommend the place to families.

Ended up here by chance but what a stroke of luck. The pork belly off the specials board was fantastic, the gammon was the size of a frisbee, the child's pizza and chips was big enough to feed an adult..... twice!
There are plenty of seating choices, cool, open plan interior, veranda, patio or grassed area with climbing pirate ship for the kids. Watch out for the patrolling seagulls..... take your plates inside when you finish :-)
Fed a family of 4 for £35, we were planning a BBQ later in the day but nobody was hungry......... great place, great food, great value, service needs improving, little but important things, whilst taking a payment over the phone the staff member lost customers as she failed to acknowledge myself and another 2 groups of people at the bar, one of which walked out. The other point, staff should never presume that they know how a customer wants their drink, I sent back a G&T after the young lady drowned the gin in a whole bottle of tonic, having spent years in the pub trade, it's a common mistake but it doesn't win you any repeat custom. That's why I only have a 3 for service.

Great atmosphere, the waterfront is ideal if you have kids, little nipperz out the back with soft play and big beer garden and outdoor play ship...staff are always friendly and welcoming, food is great...beef lasagne is gorgeous, but my favourite by far is the carvery....on a Thursday is only £5.99 per person! Choice of 2/3 meats and loads of veg...Great value for money and delicious food :-)

Stopped on the way back from a break on the Sunday when the weather came out good. Decided to visit as had children's play area advertised. On walking in the place was very clean and tidy. We headed out to the back garden where they had a small outdoor play area which was great. The outside furniture wasn't great but ok. Went back in to place our food and drinks orders just as a big biker party turned up. Can't compliment the staff enough as they handled so many people and got through everyone so quickly. Food arrived within 30 minutes again which I thought was good considering how busy it was. All in all a great place to visit for food and especially if you've got kids.
