We turned up as a family of four at 5.50pm, two adults and two older children as we looked at the reviews on trip advisor and it all seemed very good, we were very much looking forward to our last meal as a family while in North Devon. We asked the waitress for a table for four only to be turned away as they don't cater for children after 6pm!!! In these hard times I couldn't believe that we were being turned away, do they not want to make money??? Let's face it, the majority of people who holiday in North Devon are families so why would you not take advantage of this fact? Was very disappointed and would never return. Ridiculous!

After checking reviews on TA I decided to book a table for date night with my husband while we were away.

First point - you need to book as it seems packed every night, quite rightly it is delicious.

A lovely gentleman warmly welcomed us in which was the start of a wonderful evening. We chose a set menu which the waiter happily modified to accommodate my no meat eating.

Nothing seemed too much trouble & the food was swiftly served tasting fresh & hot.

The mixed starters were mainly fish based on request & were very tasty. We had a 3 chilli prawn dish & a milder dish again on request for my husband. This suited us perfectly.

The Eton Mess was indulgently rich & creamy & was refreshing after the spicy main course.

A wonderful restaurant with great ambiance & thoughtfully designed to give a Thai feel. Would fully recommend.

From the minute we walked through the door, we were met by the owner, and had a very warm welcome, really nice staff and we were served by the daughter, she was lovely, and although we could not pronounce half of the food, we simply just ordered by numbers, she knew exactly what it was and talked us though it all. The food was piping hot, and served on lovely warm plates (l can't stand half cold food) . You really have to go there, once you have eaten there you won't go anywhere else . In our group of 7 people, everyone said how much they enjoyed it and thought it was the best eating house around. Well done Morans its about time we had somewhere good to eat in Devon!

Went here last night, excellent food and great service. Would highly recommend the set menus as you get to try a feast of what they have to offer. The weeping tiger is especially good.
Good value and nice atmosphere, would definitely come here again on next trip
