So beautiful! Long stretch of sandy beach, water is cold but so refreshing - perfect for a long stroll.

“Westward Ho!”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

A vast beach with great activities on hand. Great coffee shops and Mrs B's Ice Cream is to die for. You can see Lundy Island whilst walking along the prom. Went there 4 times in the week

“Good flat beach near to a variety of facilities...”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

A long broad stretch of sand when the tide is out leaving rock pools to explore. The outdoor swimming pool is closed due to storm damage. Easy access down a ramp or there are steps too. If you go down the ramp you get on the sand without having to walk over the pebbles. Just off the beach there are several places to eat in or grab takeaway food, souvenir shops, a co-op, toilets, mini golf and amusement arcades. There's also a very tasteful gift/home shop named Everything Westward across the green with a sweet shop next door which my son loved. There's also a surf shop and a kite shop. A lovely little seaside town. Worth a visit.

“Pity abut the storm damage”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Access very limited due to storm damage but otherwise a reasonable visit. unfortunately there was not much to se because of extensive work being carrid out but we relied on memories of previous visits.
lots of new buildings have appeared and the small seaside town atmosphere is beginning to disapear.
