“Rude and unpleasant service”
Reviewed 26 August 2014 via mobile

Absolutely rude and unpleasant personnel, they stole golden necklace and cross, and manager just did nothing! She was arguing that we are offending her( have video if wanted).

No SAFES for such a big hotel (300 rooms), so you are never sure in safety of you property!

Me and my family spent a very nice holiday at Midia Grand Resort. Even though we arrived very late - 2:30 am, they were waiting for us at reception and they had prepared dinner boxes especially for us. The check in procedure took no more than 5 minutes.
Our apartment had 2 bedrooms and living room, it was quite big and comfortable. It was cleaned on regular basis. The women from the housekeeping were adorable, even though they didn't speak English they were always very friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant was kind of crowded and the variety for all-inclusive guests was not very big but there was a seperte menu from which we ordered whatever we liked. The best thing in Midia Grand Resort, in my opinion, is that it is seperated from the noisy and polluted city. It is very green, special compliments for the gardener who maintained the lawns. We could smell the flowers and listen to the birds singing from our terrace, which was amazing.
We went to a couple of excursions, the best of which was Bulgarian village. The woman at the tour agency office was also very friendly.
The only thing I could say as negative is that there is wi-fi connection only on reception, in the restaurant and near the pool bar and it constantly stops and needs to be restarted.
All in all, we recommend Midia Grand Resort to every tourist who visits Bulgaria. For this ammont of money you could hardly find a better hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms in blocks H, I and J are quieter because they are far away from children animation centre.

Never ever step in this awfull place!!! Me and ny family spent there the most awfull 2 days.
Rooms are not bad but they must be cleaner!! No beach- just a stinky waters.
And the most important- they poison people with a food!! It was impossible to eat. We were starving for 2 days- my kids were eating only bread and tomatoes untill we were moved to the other hotel!! Some people felt sick and blew up from food!!
The only visitors are from Eastern Europe- russians and polish. You will nevwr get peacefull and quite tine there!! Keep away at any costs!!!

We had mixed experience there, there were some things which bothered us.
Disadvantages:
- only a few of the staff speak english, and some of them were unfriendly when we wanted to require for something special
- no beachtowels were ensured
- no proper information we got at the reception about our package, so sometimes we didn't know what we could have or we couldn't, and neither the staff did know
- the staff looked like moody sometimes
- we missed the hospitality of the staff
Advanteges:
- the housekeepers worked hard, we were absolutely satisfied with their work, they gave us clean towels when we asked them (they didn't speak english, so we had to show what we wanted), they were friendly and nice
- the food were quite good, it was based on mostly eastern european menu, but we liked it
- the pools were clean
- the furnitures in the room were comfortable

The resort was nice and clean. Yes there were a lot of Eastern Europeans there, but it did not bother me as I was in Eastern Europe. 2 pools, one lively one with entertainment and lots of young people, one quieter more family type one. Nightly entertainment was mainly in Russian but that didn't bother me. Local area is quite nice plenty of restaurants in the village which was a good thing because the one in the resort lacks atmosphere and variety. Lovely private beach on the doorstep. Jeep Safari, waterparks, Khans tent can all be arranged from reception with collection from resort, also bikes for hire on site. All in all enjoyable stay and will be back.

I was there booking the rooms through a tourism company at home and the surprise upon arrival was that the rooms didn't look like the ones in the pictures. I still don't know who's fault was it but we were foolished ... Generally the place is very nice, great cuisine, clean noisy and silent depending where you live in the resort. The seaside is very clean and nice - private for guests only. Security is very good. The only disadvantage is that the place is located near Nessebar, but difficult to go there as public transportation is far and taxi is expensive ... other than that - food has a good variety but too repetitive. It is like a 3 stars hotel that offers an all-inclusive package to the guests as a reasonable price. This is also a place where people can buy and rent appartments. In august 2011 I've seen some new buildings near the resort that were on their way - so I think they are expanding.
Here are some videos of the place made by me:
the swimming pool on the right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJDjPs5iJic
the swimming pool on the left: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_jWcXFLQCk&feature=related

Room Tip: The swimming pool that is on the left when you stand facing the resort - is more silent at night and...
