I had planned to come to Caldes especially for the rafting of the Nocce River - it is one of the top ten in the world, but mid September the water levels were down, so it didn't have the degree of difficulty that I expected. What it did have was continual rapid... So constantly working, little time to pause. it was highly enjoyable, we hammed it up, the guide gave good training before hand, and was an expert from Nepal.... For him it was a day in the park. We only did the family length because of a child in the group.
The company responded to my emails quickly and were able to put together a group late in the season, keeping me informed about whether they could do a run on the day I had available. One Chili rafting guy took fabulous photos and for 15 euros extra we got a CD of them. it ended up more expensive than expected and had to provide cash but it was worth it.
