“Great views for a Saturday lunchtime”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

We visited the Cliff House with my in laws for a casual lunch, and had a lovely couple of hours. The wine was delicious, and very reasonably priced. Other nice touches included warmed speciality breads brought whilst we were choosing, and the warmed frothy milk to go with the coffee and mints.
My main course of mushroom risotto was pleasant, but not memorable. However, the efficiency of the staff made up for any shortcomings, and I would definitely return!

I stayed at the Cliff House Hotel for 4 nights while working in New Milton, with me was my work colleagues. We have stayed in many places but we would all agree that this has been one of the top Hotels that we have stayed at. The staff were so nice and friendly (it was nice to be made to feel as people not contractors). The food well who ever the chef is he would give the top chefs on TV a real run for there money absolutely tasty and well cooked. The rooms were nice and homely, very clean and well maintained as is the rest of the hotel. The view in the morning is wonderful then down to a great breakfast. I enjoyed it so much myself and my wife will be going down on my motorbike in the summer.
All credit to the owners and staff and look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: You will not be disappointed no matter what room you have.

Had an extremely good celebration with friends and very much enjoyed my visit to the Cliff House. The meal was excellent with great service and everyone really enjoyed the meal. Even though it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale outside there was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere in side.

We stayed here for a weekend as a get away from a very stressful working week. Our room had fantastic sea views and was very comfortable although the bathroom was quite tight. We ate dinner in the restaurant and had a great meal. The hake was fantastic, very tasty and beautifully cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful, when I mentioned a problem with the sink in the bathroom they came and dealt with it straight away. We will definitely stay again.

I stayed 2 nights in the single room whilst attending a family wedding nearby and it was ideal. The owners are particularly friendly and welcoming and all the rest of the staff go out of their way to be attentive without being intrusive - an excellent combination. The breakfast (served in the indoor dining terrace with probably the best views you will find anywhere over the sea towards the Isle of Wight) was great, with cooked items to order if you wanted - poached eggs were perfect! The room was absolutely fine for a single person and had a good powerful shower in the en-suite - a nice change from so many private hotels. As part of the pre-wedding celebrations some family members came for a light lunch in the restaurant and this again was excellent - well prepared and presented, and good value. Certainly a great place to stay if you want the personal touch rather than the anonymity of a large hotel.
