Stayed for just the one night (unfortunately) on a very wet and windy February evening. Hadn't booked and from the knock on the door to be welcomed by very welcoming and friendly Jill we had a marvellous stay. Beautifully furnished room with wonderful sea views. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely well cooked and great tasting breakfast. Wonderful value. Could not complain about one thing even if we wished to try.

What an amazing little B&B set in an idyllic location on the cliff top. Perfect views overlooking the beautiful beaches. The B&B itself is very clean, warm and cozy with very friendly staff/owners. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect little getaway...oh and the recent new addition of a hot tub outside is a great bonus!

Couldn't fault it. This the third time here and will certainly stay here again when visiting the South Coast.

Room really comfortable - great view -watched sea/dogs/masters - very entertaining.
Bathroom big - really appreciated after spending weeks in "stalls".
People - Jill and Jean - great warm people.
Breakfast - best in 6 week trip.
Coming back for sure.

Room Tip: Last room on the right at top of stairs - French doors opening to a great view of sea/front

Just spent the week end on the south coast and elected to sty in Anchor Down, on the sea front in Barton on Sea.
The accommodation was second to none, a large room with a double bed (always welcome as a single traveller), a bathroom with bath and separate shower. From the bedroom windows, views to die for, The Needles and The Isle of Wight.
Breakfast is very good with buffet offering and a very comprehensive menu, as well as freshly brewed coffee and refills offered.
Thank you for a lovely stay !

Anchor Down is a lovely B&B right on the sea front at Barton on Sea. Our room was fresh and warm and comfy, very relaxing décor, and the en suite was huge and modern. Everything is spotlessly clean. Very friendly hosts, Jill, Nev, and Rachel - thankyou for everything! The delicious breakfast is served in the conservatory which is also facing the sea... fantastic. Only 1.5 - 2 hrs drive to Heathrow. So a great place to stay in a quiet location with easy drive to Heathrow. Love it here.

Room Tip: We had a front room overlooking the sea, so very lovely.
