Ordered ham sandwiches which were described as 'gammon' so was expecting something better than a slice of plastic reformed ham between two slices of a sliced loaf. After waiting best part of half an hour.

It's wrong to call this a restaurant, because with the best will in the world it's just a cafe for a quick snack catering for day trippers. Sausage rolls, soup, and sandwiches plonked on your table on a tray! My soup was served so scalding hot it was dangerous and after 20 minutes it was still undrinkable! Although I brought this to their attention they didn't seem interested. Staff are mainly young girls.

Food was poor and very expensive for quality received. Really need to improve before visiting again.

A fabulous little restaurant/cafe with delightful home-made food, including baking and pastry goodies and excellent tea and coffee at very reasonable prices. Accessible at Cromford Mill without paying any entrance fee. Seating available both inside and outside - it was a glorious day last Saturday.

Have visited both restaurants at the site, and been impressed by how well the young staff cope under severe pressure at busy times. Good cup of tea and large scone, and main meals are also well presented. The art in the larger restaurant is an absolute bargain, with quality orginal works being sold at a fraction of the price in a gallery in nearby Wirksworth. Look forward to seeing the conclusion of the restoration of Arkwright's magnificent but sadly neglected mill.
