Great service and always tasty food. Recently had a stilton sandwich...their stilton is nice and strong tasting...the way I like it! Cheers everyone.

Had an excellent lunch here again Friday our family party is from 13 to 68 and we always have plenty of choice to choose from it was busy but service was excellent, effort had obviously been made with presentation on our meals and all the meals snacks and wonderful looking cakes I saw being served. It seem a lot of work is going on in the Mill and I look forward to seeing what new business will open. I believe the restaurant is to have a revamp soon. Well worth a visit if your in the area with craft shops beautiful views and walks to go with the home cooking.

Visited Cromford Mill, which has some interesting little shops. We went to the main restaurant for our mid day snack. We both had swede, carrot and parsnip soup with a choice of seeded roll or cheese scone: we both chose the cheese scone as it was an interesting option. The soup arrived looking very thick and hearty. However is was tasteless, the stock was just water, no seasoning and saw vey little of the swede or parsnip. The cheese scone saved the day as it was of a good size and the taste and texture was excellent. The cost was £3.85 but next time would choose something different to soup. The sandwiches looked nice that was being served, hopefully more tasty than soup.

what has gone wrong? Have used the main restaurant for a number of years and always had a good meal. This week been twice to the Wharf one and very under welmed. Very young staff and only 2 - one I think new. Restaurant very busy and they were just not coping as was busy.
1st visit just about ok but 2 not at all good. Door open - fine a delivery was being made. However it was kept open as staff were too hot - not the customers and there was a draft coming around us. The waitress was barely civil when we asked if it could be closed.
No menu for specials had not been written up - we arrived at just after 12. They said would be 5 min - ok but never told us when it was done. We ordered 4 specials and had to wait about 20/25 minutes. One was cold - all were tasteless and portion size small. My mushrooom lasagne was totally dried up and very small.
decided to buy a cake but choice was poor and asked if we could have one on the new deliveries. Told no had to eat up what was out! needless to say none were bought. Did however go over to main restaurant and bought 4 delicious cakes there,
What is happening why the change - please sort it out and explain to staff how important customers are.
Finally we watched one of the staff clear a table and she deliberately wiped all the bits straight onto the floor!

Had plenty of tea here and a few meals. Nothing too exciting but very pleasant surroundings. The mills are a good place to spend a couple of hours.
