Everything was well thought out and lots of lovely little touches. Anya was quick to respond to any messages.

“The property we never saw!”
Reviewed 11 June 2018 for a stay in May 2018

We cannot review the property as we never stayed there. This property had been double- booked when we arrived. We have informed you of this but have so far heard nothing.

Management Response
16 Jun 2018
Unfortunately so! We are so sorry this has happened when you were taking your grandchildren away!
This is the 1st double booking ever in our 3+ years! due to cross-platform calendar era (This is not our main advertising site) & zero pre-contact until the actual day & your return of reservation details.
However, multiple accommodation options were offered as was a full reimbursement, where Franks group chose to stay in a lovely lodge of greater expense where we paid the extra & in addition we gave a holiday voucher for a free stay, as a token gesture for his upset & any inconvenience caused.

Frank, I’m unsure if you are referring to ‘us’ or ‘Trip Advisor’ I’m assuming ‘TA’ because ‘we', you & i (well your wife), have been in multiple communications regarding this matter on the day since before you arrived. So perhaps you are best suited to ringing them up directly, as I do know they have emailed a return to your complaint 3 times now, as they have indeed emailed us also regarding it.

The cottage was perfect, all the info in advance and the little touches throughout the cottage were lovely. We had a great time and we will definitely return.

“Excellent, well located cottage.”
Reviewed 1 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Very well appointed and well equipped cottage. Enjoyed walks from the door and short drives away - Carsington Water and Youlsgrave start to Limestone Way walk. Visited Chatsworth on the day of arrival - very enjoyable. Interesting visit to local mills and Heights of Abraham - gives a sense of the history of the local area.
Very good local butchers and grocery store, and Sainsbury in nearby Matlock provides additional food shopping location.
Anya - contact for the property - was exteremely helpful in answering any questions we had.
Enjoyed lovely evening by the log burner inn the lounge - a real treat.

The stairs in the property are very steep, so not recommended for anyone with mobility issues, but adds to the charm of the cottage.

Thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Derbyshire and would certainly consider booking the cottage again.
