“Great food!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Traditional British pub - incredibly warm welcome and great service. No frills but tasty, home-made food. We ordered Salmon, Lamb Shank and a massive 16oz gammon steak - no complaints at all! Fresh vegetables and salad, some grown by the owners themselves.

Couldn't tell you about a dessert menu as we were just too full from our meal! All reasonably priced, and even a 2 for £10 menu (which I expect would also serve generous portions).

Dogs not allowed inside but there is a lovely beer garden where they are welcome.

“Good Stuff”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

V nice food - nothing too fancy: I had the lamb shank - lovely and good value, though having the scampi at the same price was a bit pricey. V friendly owners and locals. Soft drinks cheap (which is a refreshing change!!)

“What a Gem, a must visit”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

What a gem. A must visit if you are in West Wales, a real pub; great restaurant; great real ales, standard beers and larger's and a terrific landlord and lady.
We chose to sit in the bar area, real log fire, great atmosphere and was give great advise on what was what with the beers. We were give the menu's and made our choices. The food was served quickly and wonderfully fresh, the steak was perfectly cooked (rare was rare), home made chips; the 2 lamb shanks were so tender with the meat falling off the bone with fresh vegetables, new potatoes and wonderful minty gravy. The rack of ribs was a full rack, terrifically tasty and loads of home made chips.
The food was terrific, a real gem in West Wales and a must visit if you are in the area. The hosts are great, bring bread out for soaking up the wonderful gravy. A great atmosphere further drinks brought to the table, and great coffee followed.

The restaurant can get busy, so we will book next time we visit (which will be soon).

A real gem with a great welcome; brilliant value; a must visit.
