We stopped off in the Glyn Valley Hotel in the afternoon for a pint. The Carlsberg was warm. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, and went back for an evening meal, which was terrible. Steak and ale pie - was basically stew, with a miniscule piece of flaky pastry on top, dry, unseasoned vegetables, and the worst mashed potatoes I have EVER had. No butter, salt or anything in it. And expensive too! The young lads (aged early 20s) who were in the pub came out of the pub after we had had our meal, and tried to start a fight with me and my friend, for no reason, leaving us with no option but to run off into the local woods to hide. All in all, a terrible experience!
