We stayed at the Shepherd's hut as a surprise birthday present to my boyfriend and it was amazing! The hut is beautifully decorated in a gorgeous vintage style complete with buntings. The facilities are excellent and are located just up the garden with plenty of privacy, the hut comes complete with the little extras including torches in case you need to visit the facilities in the night! The hut has a lovely wood burning stove which makes it surprisingly cosy despite the cold weather.
We had a wonderful time sitting around the fire pit and having drinks late into the evening and also visited the Barrell Inn, recommended by Rachel for a lovely dinner.
Rachel brings your breakfast in the morning in a quirky vintage hamper complete with delights including fresh juice, coffee to your liking, yoghurt, fruits and bread promptly at your requested time.
Overall it was a wonderful night away, Rachel makes you feel thoroughly welcome. We are just sad we were only there for one night! I highly recommend the hut to anyone and we hope to be back! Perfect!

I found the Hut on the Quirky Accomodation Site and wanted something romantic for our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
Rachel & Haydon lovely Hosts nothing was too much with
Recomendations for meals out
Drove us to our Dinner Venue on two nights then picked us up
It certainly was all that and more was absolutely beautifull so peacefull an amazing place.
Bed so comfy, Shower facilities so clean.
Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable.
We will definite be back.

2 reviews We had a wonderful stay at the Hut. Our Daughter had recommended it to us. Quiet location with views, within a short walk of Eyam's shops, pub tea room & other amenaties. The Hut is well equiped for short breaks & the stone outbuilding nearby has a 'fridge, sink, shower & toilet, also a kettle & supply of tea, coffee etc. Rachael & Haydn made us very welcome.

Rachel and Haydn were very welcoming and friendly.
The hut is beautiful decorated and very cosy. The shower room is very clean and well decorated - there is tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge to store drinks.
Breakfast was delivered to the hut in the morning at a time agreed. Very cute and yummy!
The village is beautiful and friendly with a lot of history to it. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the local village pub, the Miners Arms.
Overall, we had a fab time and would love to go back!

Stayed for a three night mini honeymoon, we wanted peace and tranquillity and thats exactly what we got and so much more. The hut is beautiful and feels like a secret hideaway from the rest of the world. It was cosy and warm without the fire burning even on a rainy night.
Rachel and Haydn wher the perfect hosts they felt more like friends than the owners. The hospitality we received was that of a 5* hotel.
Breakfast was the most wonderful experience a wicker hamper delivered to your door at a time of your choosing. It contains tasty goodies of fresh breads, jams, honey, yogurt with berries and a flask of hot tea or coffee.
The wash facilities where immaculately clean and finished to a very high standard just like tne hut. Surplied was clean cotten towels, crockery, kettle, the use of the fridge, tea, coffee and even fresh milk. My appoligies if iv forgotten something.
There was plenty of choice regards evening dining all in close proximity to the hut ,we can highly recommend the white horse and the barrel inn both of which where recommend to us by Rachel.
We are delighted by our stay and will be returning in the very near future.
