This used to be my best kept secret ,I ate here before and then said to my friends it was the best meal I ever had in Ireland,it still is.i am talking about meals out !As I have had many great meals in homes with family and friends! this restaurant feels like home, such a welcome and we stayed the night in one of their few well appointed rooms.Lobstor starter fabulous, just go and enjoy really fresh food beautifully cooked and lovingly served.

Visited here with a good friend who is a regular, it was really fabulous.

Food presentation was wonderful and everything tasted great. The service was polite and attentive if ninja like in the approach to the table, the food seemed to just appear mid conversation, not sure if this is good or bad really!

Not a lot wrong here, amazing food at a reasonable price.

Party of four all had tasting menu. From the appetiser to desert the food was amazing. Seafood left you licking your lips. Well done we are never disappointed when we plan a trip to Aldridge. Agree with comments about all tables having to have tasting menu but can understand the serving logistics if mix at table.

We stayed in Aldridge Lodge as part of their dinner, bed & breakfast deal which is absolutely fantastic value. We were greeted with a warm welcome, tea & sticky toffee puddings. We later had our a la carte dinner which was in the relaxing & comfortable restaurant. The service was impeccable and specifically tailored to each guest. Above everything, each and every dish was expertly designed based on the freshest seasonal ingredients. The portions are extremely generous and we were even afforded an hour of a gap before having our dessert sharing plate (which should not be missed) in the lounge area. There are some great beaches & walks in the area too which are needed to work off the country portion sizes!!!

The food here is excellent and the portions are more than generous so do make sure you have space! We had the tasting menu and were delighted with every course. The service was charming and the restaurant had a lovely buzz. And, it was extremely good value. Our next stop after Duncannon was Dublin where prices are considerably steeper. Our only challenge, as B&B guests, was to follow on with a delicious breakfast the following day.
