“Paradise!”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

We visited Nikki Beach Koh Samui in September 2011 for the second half of our honeymoon. We spent the first half in Bangkok and were a bit tired of all the sight seeing and walking around and were looking forward to relaxing on the beach.

I spent the extra money to get the beach front bungalow (not exactly beach front, but pretty darn close - you are just in one of the two bungalows closest to the beach, probably about 20 yards away). So worth it...

The resort was AMAZING! It was nearly empty, when we checked in, there was only two other couples there. One of the couples looked like regulars, the other was a relative of the owner, so we were basically the only customers there. It felt as if we rented out the whole resort for our trip.

The pool area is so beautiful and there are so many different areas to lounge in. The staff was so friendly, and with so few guests, they were always attentive to our needs.

The bungalow as the highlight of our honeymoon. My wife actually started crying when we first saw it. Words cannot describe how impressed we were with it. Extremely comfortable...

Sunday buffet is like a big party; that is the only time it seemed to be busy. Lots of good looking people, good music, great food and drinks.

It is a little far from Chaweng Beach, I'd say about a 30-40 minute taxi ride, so if you plan on hanging out more on that side of the island, Nikki Beach might not be the best choice. It is perfect for couples who want a peaceful, romantic getaway.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your experience at Nikki Beach Bungalow Resort! We are certainly happy that you enjoyed everything. It was touching to hear about the emotional response from your bride when she first laid eyes on how your suite was arranged in "Honeymoon Style!" Your comment regarding the fact that we are located on the other side of the island from Chaweng is interesting, we strategically opened Nikki Beach here in Lipa Noi because we wanted to offer an elegant yet fun environment away from all the noise and "backpacker type" activity on the Chaweng side.
We are in great company on this (The Amazing Sunset) side of the island, what with all the other upscale venues that have also chosen to operate on this side of Koh Samui as well.
Thanks again and we hope to see you again some time in the future!

The Nikki brand is well respected for its famous parties and patrons, however in Samui it is a little different. The place is great for lounging about all day and sipping cocktails by the pool. Prices are on the higher end of the scale but it goes with the brand.

The setting is very cool and modern and the people who go there are the same. However leave the kids. They have great sun sets however as soon as the sun starts going down everybody seems to leave and the place becomes relatively empty very quick.

We only had cocktails and snacks which was fine. The service was good. This place is ideal for young couples.

You know it's a good hotel when people from other hotels stop by throughout the day to check it out for themselves. The infinity pool is perfect, surrounded by beds to lay out on with bottle/food service pretty much 24/7. Service is top notch and the rooms are spectacular.

The beach is actually gorgeous. You have to walk out a few hundred feet in either direction but once you do you'll realize you're the ONLY one out in the ocean.

It's located on the quieter side of the island which is OK because you can spend all day relaxing and then Taxi or scooter out to the nightlife.

Room Tip: Get the massage. It's the best one we had in Thailand. Also get a 3 course dinner delivered to y...

This was our first trip to Thailand and thanks to our stay at Nikki Beach we will definitely be back! We stayed for 10 nights at the end of July. The whole resort is beautiful, picturesque and perfectly designed. The bungalows are fantastic and if you have the beach front bungalows the views are fab. The staff are all so happy and helpful and just can't do enough for you. The management team - Bruce, Eddy, Jacob and Lenka were all so helpful and friendly and always made a point of coming over to chat and tell us about the island, where to visit etc and took time to find out about us too. The DJ and musician were excellent - great music everyday and what a talented musician! The food was absolutely amazing and the drinks..............definitley the best mojito's on the island. The Sunday brunch lived up to it's reputation and was awesome. Breakfast in the bakery or in our room was always fabulous too. Location on the island was great for us but for those who are looking to just walk out to shops, bars and restaurants then you'll need a taxi or hire a moped as there's not much in the area. It's only 25mins taxi ride to Chaweng and Lamai but to be honest, after visiting both, Lipa Noi is definitely one of the better places to stay - tranquil and beautiful without the sewer smell! We would definitely recommend the Island Tour, Fisherman's Market on a Friday night, the private dinner on the beach at Nikki Beach and the Thai Cooking Class at Nikki is a must - what a fantastic day we had. Overall it was the perfect destination for us and they have definitely got it right. Thanks to everyone at Nikki Beach - we'll be seeing you all again soon :)

Room Tip: Beach View Bungalows are great but they are all lovely

The bungalows were fantastic. You need to see them for your self. The staff were all incredibly helpful. Manager, Eddie, was the man--hooking us up with great advice, and complimentary things (we had to change our booking dates, so he more than made up for it). Realy, he went above and beyond--we got hooked up with a long tail boat riide to a private island with lunch, and also got a drive for a full day to show us around the island.

The pool side service was great..the food very very good. Happy hour drinks everyday during sunset.

Location on the island isnt ideal, a bit removed from the hot spots. The beach that this hotel is on isn't the greatest either. However, taxi service was readity available to take you to where the action was..so not the end of the world.

We have visited Nikki beach several times and it has always been first class. The amazing sunbeds around the pool are the ideal place to spend the day and have lunch.
The Sunday brunch turns the place into a posers paradise but the buffet is very good.
The people there have to be seen to be believed. Take a camera and of course your fake designer glasses. Great place for people watching and a laugh.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 glorious nights in June for our 3rd wedding anniversary.
We couldn't have asked for better and it was everything we had hoped for. While Nikki Beach is supposed to be a party place we found it's just what we wanted - peaceful. It was the low season and for us perfect timing as I believe it gets much busier in peak season.
The bungalows were spotless and comfortable and while not particularly private we loved them.
The food was great and if you get the chance have a private beach dinner with Peter (the chef) serve and cook for you. Wow - Peter you are a genius with food!!!
The pool was great and we spent most days reading and swimming with the odd cocktail thrown in.
The staff were excellent and there to serve your every need.
We really can't fault the place and would highly reccomend it (in the low season) if you want to get away from the main centre of Chaweng and just chill out.
We did do a day out and went to see some temples and Buddhas with a bit of shopping thrown in. Best way to get around is by the open air taxi. Harder to catch from the resort, but easy to catch back. We got the resort van into Chaweng and the taxi back.
I would recommend if you stay for some time to get your laundry done just up the road. We were charged $4 for 2 kilos whereas the resort were going to charge us $125.
If there was one fault it would be the choice of breakast. A bit limiting and a wider selection would have been better.
All in all loved it and would highly recommend it.
