Good atmosphere, huge portions for all food that was served to our table. Food is of high standard & was enjoyed by all of my party. Service was great too. Parking though is a real problem. Cars a parked all up side streets & on road as the pub car park is not big enough for it's popularity. I would advise if possible a lift or cab ride if you can, or be prepared to walk a little way up the road especially at weekends & busy times.

Today was our first visit to The George and certainly won't be our last. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted and immediately served, even though it was quite busy. There were plenty of staff around, all very friendly and helpful. We ordered our food, which was brought out to us in the garden.....huge portions of delicious and very tasty dinners, with lots of veg. There was never a wait to be served at the bar, and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit and we will be returning very soon!

We stopped here for a quick late lunch the other day on our way back to London and liked The George a lot. Characterful pub, very friendly people and decent unpretentious pub food. My £5.95 sausage and onion sandwich was really good - and came with chips and a salad. Not food that would win Michelin stars, but exactly what we wanted just then and at an excellent price. This place would be a great meal-stop for anyone visiting Leeds Castle.

Decided to come here on a weekday evening with my mum and brother. Ate in the beer garden on a nice warm sunny evening. It's a Great traditional English pub with a nice large beer garden with bench tables. Staff are absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault the service we received. Meals are hearty and very generous portions and good value for what you get. Had a prawn cocktail which has a large pile of largish prawns, no cheap stuff! Wasn't all that hungry so had nachos with chilli con Carne as my main (even though it's a starter) probably would be best to share that with someone as a starter there was a lot of chilli on it. Which was lovely and spicy and flavoursome. My brother had gammon main which came out with loads of chips and a nice large bit of gammon with pineapple and egg. (I have uploaded pics of the nachos and gammon)

Have eaten here twice before and every time it has been lovely food and great service. Last time I came I had the chicken sizzler which is Mexican seasoned chicken with onions and peppers on a skillet with Chips. Huge portion and very nice! Great place to come for a family meal or any occasion. Has a nice relaxing pub atmosphere aswell in the pretty village of Leeds.
