Parking is a nightmare! We arrived a little early after booking a table well in advance, our table had been given away, we had to wait for another table to be made up, a large number of items were not available on the menu, advised to order food whilst we waited at the bar, as there was at least a half an hours wait, it was very busy, and it did feel a little like organised chaos, at least five members of staff involved before we got our food, very limited vegetarian options, a further four checked we were ok whilst we were eating, was hoping for a relaxed country pub, this isn't one! Food average, to be honest I won't be rushing back, not for any other reason than I could only find one vegetarian option available on the menu, the staff were trying their best in what was a busy time, they just needed someone to organise them!

First time at this pub, friendly staff, fairly extensive menu. Unfortunately had about a 50 minute wait for our
mains although the staff did apologise for this . Deserts arrived a lot quicker but to much crumble and not enough fruit for me. Would probably come back may just have caught them on a very busy night.

The menu is quite extensive with a couple of really interesting items, they do a couple of sizzlers and present large quantities of really good food. Enjoyed eating there but was disgusted with the condition of the men's toilet on two recent visits, the area did not appear to be serviced with overflowing paper towel disposal units, but worse there is no ventilation and the windows frames are totally painted, it is seldom than an establishment is let down by the toilets in this day and age.

We had a great day out at Leeds Castle and saw signs to The George Inn so had a look before journey home. Really good find, very nice pub and lovely garden. Came for drinks and stayed for dinner!

Prices all reasonable, staff very friendly. Good choice of simple kid's meals and fair range of main menu items for adults. Food arrived in good time and in good sized portions too, nachos starter was huge! Desserts the same and our children (fussy eaters!) were all happy with their meals. Seated/covered area outside as well as garden benches.

Car park not very big but the church/village hall car park is fine, 100m up hill, easy walk back.

If you have children then best to note there is no play area but ours were all tired after a very hot day at the castle so that wasn't such an issue and top trumps sufficed.

Lovely pub
